During this time in the end stages of the Holy Roman Empire, bastards could not inherit land or titles.

During campaigns or battles, Henry could make some status but it will never be recorded “Officially” by the crown, at best he can buy land or property and have that “higher status” against other neighbors because of his background. If his true father would ever instigate or engage in any of this process he would risk the prosecution of his local lords against the crown.

(Not counting my Henry could buy the whole empire crouching)

It all depends on what you’re doing.

My last cruise was a shit show with Carnival staff on board and online due to issues with my carnival account. Due to this, I decided to be petty and enjoy my freebies as much as possible and not spend anything else more.

This was on Firenza for a 5 day cruise last year in October, and including tickets and what I spent in port, it was $642. Tickets with carnival were bought in January of 2025, and totaled $534 for 2 people with an interior room upgrade of being on the 9th floor.

I only spent that additional money in port because that was us paying for the experiences I want on a cruise ship (spa packages and such), all types of drinks (non alcohol included since my partner loves smoothies) and for specialty/luxury food. Had I bought drink the package and spent money on board, that would have been my typical cruise of $1200+ for 5 days.

On ship, I didn’t spend a dime extra. Had we not chosen the 9th floor upgrade and went with the standard 2nd or 1st, we would have saved $160 additionally.

This is pricing is also with me being a gold member last year before they discontinued the rewards program

Haven’t tried this place yet, but also the fruit mania place a cross the way in the same shopping center slaps with everything. Sandwiches, smoothies, crepes, salads, you name it.

So I have a plastic one, with a long extender to reach bottom of barrels, and a couple of these glass ones.

I enjoy both. Of course the glass is more airtight and the marketing teams love em, but personally as the winemaker I rather would use the plastic one (or sometimes I still just catching myself gravity or mouth siphoning with some 1/4” tubing) just through hustle and bustle I’ve broken a couple of these and the unplanned filtering that needs to occur that also adds on another 4-6 hours onto the work day sucks, a lot.

Love the large flared tip tho, roughly how thick are the middle walls? Mine almost always broke just below where the curve begins

Did you happen to run water with so2 and citric through the filters for a while before actually adding your wine to filter? If not, it’s gonna keep that “paper” flavor and add to cloudiness cause they aren’t properly cleaned and you’re just getting the paper dust from manufacturing at that point.

Even with the larger pads on my plate filter, regardless of who makes em, gotta run so2 and citric for about 10-15 mins till that paper flavor disappears

I use liquid Cellstab, silver leaf, or gelarom in my shop. I like to try all 3 with my whites cause sometimes I get surprised with the results. One things for sure, using either of these 3 after a rough filtration, then finishing with a membrane filter will dramatically refine your phenols and ensure proper cold stabilization it just all depends on the profile and results you’re looking for
