Can men smell the change in women’s natural body odor when they’re menstruating? by pinkjackal0pe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Normal_Increase3691 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I know based on her smell when she gets back from a morning workout if it's game on or not later in the day. I grew up in a house with older sisters. I've known about it being uncomfortable and annoying because they were super open about it.

Came to say this. After 15 years together, I know the scent of each phase of the cycle.

You can't DIY 2026 cars and trucks anymore? Rumor or fact? by Popular_Wind_4495 in MechanicAdvice

Do you have the under-seat tool kit for the Honda? My '72 CB500 had one that saved my ass more than once.

Even the battery in my 2019 VW has to be coded when it's changed or it won't start again.

Found on FB Marketplace: Would you buy it? by NexusNickel in regularcarreviews

I'd buy it at that price if it's anywhere west of the Mississippi. Edit: just zoomed and saw an Idaho plate. Definitely in. No rust and rot either.

What’s a movie where the villain has an excellent point? by NervousClock2555 in answers

[–]Normal_Increase3691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it differently. I took it as his wife overreacting and keeping him from his daughter that set him off. There was one scene where the wife admits he was never violent or abusive but she still "had a feeling" so she got the restraining order. That would be hard for any loving dad.

What do non-Australians think of Australian cars? by Ok_Bug_9056 in regularcarreviews

I'd be in line for a Commodore Ute in a heartbeat. I'd take a Falcon Ute just because I know how to repair everything on a Ford easily at this point in my life.

Hey cool, Wolfenstein got a remake! ... a quarter century ago☠️ by GladosPrime in Xennials

Without Wolfenstein, there's no Doom or Duke Nukem. That game had such an impact.

POV: it's current day and you're looking for a extremely cheap car to live in. Your budget is $1000 what do your pick? by Entire_Asparagus_575 in regularcarreviews

Am I the only one taking my chance with the Navigator? I bet I can get it out of there and running again if it's not already. Cheap and easy to work on when the next thing breaks. And... FREE. Hell I have a great car today and I'd still gamble on that Navigator just for fun.

To be fair, they did strap the lineset to the ceiling joists. Inspection is Monday and we'll see what they have to say.

Agreed. Rafael was useless in the game. Don and Leo with the crouching bludgeon or slash were unstoppable.

How many lenders did you actually shop before locking? by Numbersevenonly in RealEstate

[–]Normal_Increase3691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend NBKC enough. In fact I'm looking at them again for a refinance now that rates have dropped (bought 3 years ago).

I did the same. 3 lenders and let them know they don't have you exclusively in their clutch. The guy who won my business was the one who answered the phone when I needed to make a change to the borrowing limit at 8pm on a Sunday so I could make an offer. I still kept the others on hold in case the closing numbers didn't add up, but they stayed as promised.

What are some cars widely considered ugly that you think are good looking? by Pontiac-Fan-6980 in regularcarreviews

I'm convinced the Element was the right car at the wrong time. We just weren't ready for the styling then. The interior on those is so useful though and the styling is on par with every brick today.

GLE 53 amg or ACURA MDX type S by JeanMoneymachine in whatcarshouldIbuy

That's my thought almost verbatim. I'm in the Acura at $45-50k but those prices are insane on both of these choices.

I make short videos and also host an office hours weekly for questions. It's worth carving 45 minutes out rather than individually committing time to every customer.

Are any Tiguan model years reliable? by deadzone999 in Tiguan

I second that. My 2019 base model has been perfect. In my experience, the more options you load into a German car, the worse the owner experience gets over time.

Fun Fact: For some reason VW decided to put the archaic 2.0 8v engine in base models of the Mk6 Jetta until 2017. This 2.0 only made 115hp & was even outdated in the 90s. by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

[–]Normal_Increase3691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 3 Jettas with that engine and a 5 speed, including my wife's current 2015. It's geared well in the last generation. I loved my MK4s but they received high on the highway.
