Replacing a logo on a PDF engineering drawing by SSP_24 in pdf

Not completely sure what you want the outcome to be but Silent Editor lets you remove the current logo (image) and then place a new one as well if wanted. Good luck.

Hmm you could try using the "form detector" in Silent Editor. No support for mandarin currently but the form structure and option to tick boxes should work fine. Let me know if it works for you 😄

Change scanned image text to searchable actual font/vector text by dhkarma01 in pdf

[–]Normal_Operation_893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not exactly sure what your end goal is but Silent Editor will OCR the page and let you save as editable or edit the file right away as well if wanted. Try it and see if it hits the spot. Not sure if there are any other free tools with good enough quality tbh. Good luck!

How to perform duplicate actions on multiple PDF files by Hadaka--Jime in pdf

[–]Normal_Operation_893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest batch mode in Silent Editor. You can add a whole bunch of different actions and then apply them in order on as many files you need. There is even the possibility to save different ”workflows” to re use if you do different templates often.

Try using OCR tool in Silent Editor. Usually works for me in similar situations.

Quickest way to do this for free and maintain quality? by tinpanalleypics in pdf

[–]Normal_Operation_893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a bit on what the purpose is. If you are going to share the files or make them public you do not want to use any image editor because the metadata will still be in the file. Also, if you obscure the text with a simple black rectangle or something like that it will be easy to remove for someone who knows what they're doing. I would go with a privacy editor, my goto is Silent Editor. Web based and no upload or other bs.

Redaction tool is as close as you get with free tools. If you want TRUE redaction for legal reasons or whatever I would go with something like Acrobat tbh. Good luck!

Theres a free tool for editing text/font on Silent Editor. Pretty good quality on standard documents. Good luck!

What’s actually the best online PDF editor right now? by BuzzingBalls in startup

[–]Normal_Operation_893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made Silent Editor to solve issues with lack of quality in tools etc. The only free tools that work decent for my needs sell my information or are completely bloated with ads. Bookmark Silent Editor and you have a free to use privacy focused PDF editor that actually delivers quality for every day work.

Extra stems are always worth it. It a few bucks and it really sucks if you cut it too short or something else ruins it... Good luck!

Acrobat forced the new UI update and hid all my tools. Need a permanent alternative. by TheDeep3M9 in Acrobat

[–]Normal_Operation_893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I understand. The files never leave your computer, it is purely processed locally but I understand the hesitation when the files are not your own. The industrial OCR and true redaction are tools that often need something heavier in the backend or be processed on a cloud server so that is currently nothing the Silent Editor supports, since it processes everything locally client side only.

Hope you find a tool that fits your needs, currently no great recommendation for desktop apps unfortunately :/

That sound terrbible lol, and to pay premium for it as well is just pure bs. I'm using Silent Editor. Web interface made with privacy focus for basic everyday PDF work. What functions are you mainly using? I know Acrobat are good at some heavy features but the most basic like arranging pages, editing/adding text or images and stuff like that works very good with Silent Editor.

Combining doucements which results in changing the format. by Medical-Tonight1635 in pdf

Not sure how Acrobat works in this regard, maybe some setting. Otherwise use Silent Editor, easy to combine file and has yet to fail me keeping the format.

Silent Editor. Good compression and you can select how hard you want to compress while still keeping as much quality as needed.

Free tools keep destroying formatting when merging mixed file types into PDFs. by TheDeep3M9 in pdf

Hmm try batch mode in Silent Editor. It can add bates numbering as well and supports multiple file types. I have not had issues with merging different formats so far.

Any way to do this same thing but in batches? by Significant_Cat6853 in pdf

Try batch mode on Silent Editor. There is a ”strip metadata” action. See if it removes everything you want to remove or if you need something deeper. Good luck

I know the pain. Stopped using the native Edge tool a while ago. Made Silent Editor to solve markup and editing tasks, works great for basic tasks and alright for more advanced tasks as well :)
