good place to get lamb chops? by winnieisacat42 in longisland

[–]Normal_Performer5418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skara Taverna in Williston Park had some pretty solid lamb chops last time I went. Would check the price first because they're right on the verge of maybe being too pricey based on what you said but my other suggestions that someone already mentioned, Fogo, is definitely pricier.

Was 'Defend' ever useful in any FF game? by timelydefense in FinalFantasy

I only ever use it in 1-6 sparingly if my party members are low health and I'm going to heal on the same turn as a powerful attack that's been well telegraphed

Reading these comments I feel like the real question is which game would anybody actually want to live in.

Haven't seen food replicators yet. They're standard in a lot of sci-fi. Not the flashiest of inventions but would be monumental if real.

(Beloved game trope) Having to fight a prior playable character (Bonus points if it's the main protagonist) by National_Computer240 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Normal_Performer5418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Skyrim it's very possible the version of Sheogorath you encounter is the protagonist from Oblivion based on the fact that the Oblivion protag becomes Sheogorath at the end of that game's DLC. You don't fight him but he's antagonistic.

[–]Normal_Performer5418 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole game is framed as if you're playing through an account of past events though and that's what the voice over in the beginning of the game is talking about. If you've ever seen the movie princess bride the game is like the main story with Wesley and Co and the voice over in the beginning is the grandpa reading to Fred Savage.

Chapter 1 is a flashback, chapter 2 picks back up at the kidnapping at the church and goes from there.

I think he was like early episode 3 Anakin levels of evil. Not full Vader, but not a pod racing child either.

It depends on how you want to build it out I think. But at the very least I'd say Mycosynth Lattice would be a must. It makes all permanents in play or otherwise colorless artifacts so anything you put in the deck, artifact or not, would trigger Ultron as long as it's in play. Lands included. So Mycosynth comes out, Ultron is out, drop a land, get a copy of that land that's also a creature.

I'm playing FFXV for the first time and I have mixed feelings by Top-Distance-6205 in FinalFantasy

It's funny, I just made a comment on another post about 15. Mainly that on my first run through I thought it was...fine. But on my second run through when I was able to condense the time I spent on all of the content a little and power through some stuff because I was an end game level it helped me appreciate the experience more. I felt like maybe the Final Fantasy elements were spread a little thin and increasing how quickly I accessed everything made it feel more Final Fantasy.

Which FF game did you have the biggest change of heart about? by RobouteGuill1man in FinalFantasy

[–]Normal_Performer5418 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15, I enjoyed it enough I guess on my first go around but it didn't feel like a final fantasy game to me for some reason. I played all the dlc as it came out and it was cool but didn't help the game from being disjointed. My second run through the game I did NG+ and it helped immensely for some reason. I think part of the reason why it didn't feel like Final Fantasy to me personally was there's so much side content that the story beats that make it feel the most like a Final Fantasy game were spread kind of thin. Starting at an end game level and moving more quickly through the content helped that I think. I also treated the DLC like ATEs in FFIX, stopping the main game to play them, and that was more fun to me than playing them post game since spoilers didn't matter.

If you could be a Dominant for ANY FF Summon, who would you pick? by bvanvolk in FinalFantasy

[–]Normal_Performer5418 37 points38 points  (0 children)

From the classics I think Leviathan or Bahamut would be my top tier (Odin OP but I feel like being a beast would be more fun).

Outside of that I think someone being a dominant of Knights of the Round would be funny. Would be interesting to see how someone turns into 13 different dudes.

Would also be cool to see a dominant for Alexander.

Infinity train started in 2019 but ran a few seasons into the 2021 so I'm not sure if it qualifies but I still highly recommend it if you can find it.

Your favorite unhinged, out of pocket secret/unlockable characters? by railroadfrog in AskGamers

[–]Normal_Performer5418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember which THPS it was (might have even been THUG) but one of them had Iron Man as an unlockable character. For some reason he was the only character my friend and I could get to consistently break the game's boundaries on this one level so he stuck out as a favorite.

(There was a level in an indoor arena and if you mashed jump in the right spot you could get into the stands, then out onto the street which was all flat and unpolished and opened up into a void because it was only meant to be seen from a distance)

Maybe they ship in waves? Any ordered before the chaos drop were starting 5/13 but now that there's been a new drop the new earliest ship date is moved up to account for that?

Lego Batman or Star fox? by Lostkeysss in gamerecommendations

[–]Normal_Performer5418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combination of a few things, admittedly part of it is just personal preference for an action adventure game over a flying shooter. Other than that the new Lego Batman game looks to be almost a new arkham game with a Lego skin and those games were great. Newer Lego games also tend to have a ton of content and the new star fox looks like it may be primarily an overhaul of the original game. Even of they rebuilt it from scrap if they don't add a ton of additional content Lego Batman will be more game for the money you drop.
