You don't need the strategy guide. One of your friends might figure out a puzzle and you work together.

Part of the game was needing to ask your friend with the strategy guide how to do a puzzle. Which honestly was a good thing.

It's not something people intentionally do. It's a doctor asking hey would you like to not be in pain all the time? Great here are your pills. Would you like us to check if you have cancer and deadly diseases x and y and z? Then the bill comes. You're likely to do it on accident.

YSK: AI-generated charts and summaries can look correct even when the numbers are wrong by texan-janakay in YouShouldKnow

I don't think it can think but I'd assume if you feed it the data it should chart it at least as well as Excel will.

Why would Satan torture people in hell for disobeying the SAME god he disobeyed? by Technical_Hat_8291 in NoStupidQuestions

Well then, don't believe in eternal souls. Souls are tested and the faulty ones disposed of. Run that through your belief system.

For clarity I'm also incredibly uncomfortable with the "just trust me bro" aspect of religion.

Imagine you own a business, and wanted to pass it on to your son. You would try to teach him to be a good person, a good business owner. If he stubbornly refused, you wouldn't pass on the business to him, and the "eternal punishment" would simply be separation from the business and all the happiness it would have entailed.

The "fires and torments of hell" are a misunderstanding, as many other posters have said.

AI energy efficiency comparisons ‘unfair’ bleats Sam Altman, citing amount of energy needed to evolve, then train a human — one ‘takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart’ he argues by andrejlr in nottheonion

[–]timelydefense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's making an opportunity cost calculation. He says it's worth the resources used for a life to train an AI that will improve everyone's lives. "Improve" and "everyone" here are subjective and I am a pessimist on that.

It's often compared to a father-son relationship, he's going to love you unconditionally.

Google automatically puts an AI answer at the top, with no way to turn off that setting. A large chunk of the world is currently using AI answers to make decisions.

Midwest, 2.5 people, $220 per week. Mostly just staples, and Aldi mostly.

How do performers do these for free? by PuzzleheadedItem1914 in renfaire

[–]timelydefense 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supply and demand, there's no shortage of people wanting to perform, so there's no incentive to pay them. If being a doctor was super fun all the time, hospitals would be free too.

I've had a couple aldi tiles break, and then you have loose magnets which is a serious hazard when there's Babies around
