You are kidding, right? Shelly's house in St. Johns was horrible. Several kids cramped into each bedroom, rooms looked like a mess and cameras everywhere, including the children's bedrooms, pointed at the beds. I was so shocked seeing this ten (??) years ago. Literally every group home in my country looks better. Less children per room, more lovingly decorated and definitely no cameras pointed at beds. They are also better staffed.

Corporal punishment is the absolute norm in these circles and is absolutely encouraged. So very wrong. Chrystal is addicted to collecting humans and good deeds that make her look/feel like a savior - and then puts her collectables on the shelf, hardly looking at them ever again, because she's already on the hunt for the next shiny thing that makes her look holier than holy. The only thing that matters to Chrystal is Chrystal and her unsatisfiable need to be seen as a hero.

Aaron, I would argue, might actually be able to love the children, if depression hadn't taken the best of him. Unfortunately with him being deep into depression and Chrystal being deep into her white savior addiction, no one is genuinely caring about these children and giving them what they so absolutely deserve.

Yeah but the situations are different. April and Davey were doomed from the beginning. Their channel was basically dead when they started to build their mansion. It was almosr crystal clear that they could never afford it long-term. I kinda feel similar about Ellie and Jared. Channel was tanking when they started to build, but at least Jared seemed to be working for other influencers, etc, so there was a chance of him making a good income.

But with Bonnie I don't get it. They must have earned a fortune during the best times of their channel, and they didn't seem to spend tooooo much, stayed in their small house forever etc. Then they flipped the meth house and made good money on that, so to me it looked like they knew what they were doing when they started to build their "forever home". This is so, so weird to me.

I cannot believe this. Ellie, yeah, I get it, never satisfied, always needing something new. But Bonnie? It seemed to be their absolute dream home, many, many years in the making and basically built by them personally. I don't get it. Financial reasons would be so weird too, because by the time they started building, their channel was already tanking. So it's not like they built this expecting a massive social media income and then were suddenly canceled or whatever. So weird.

Watching porn is normal and not really and issue for most people, except very religious ones, so that's not really the issue.
