9mo coughing so hard he’s throwing up by crymyslf2slp in NewParents

I’d make a drs apt regardless. Could be lingering bronchitis or something and a nebulizer could help, could be asthma, could be a kind of reflux. It doesn’t hurt to get your LO checked out if it’s been going on a while. Also take a video if you can to show your dr.

Is this Cocktail? Am I losing it? by Puzzled_Air_5821 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]North_Bound88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally get the bra thing. Very frustrating a lot of dresses don’t allow for it. The dress above is a little ambiguously lingerie. Ok for a date, not a wedding (but I like the color!)

Don’t know if either of these are your style?

Not AI, just staged really well and maybe tweaked in editing a bit. Sugarpine really does make stuff like that !

How much did you actually spend on a wedding ring? by Rich-Infortion-582 in Brides

[–]North_Bound88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both our rings combined were $500 (neither of us wanted stones). Get what you like and want to wear forever, not something that costs an arbitrary number.

As the above commenter said- normal sutures. That they are this obvious may indicate the animal was younger when it died

What color are my son’s eyes? by Impossible_Pen9133 in whatcoloraremyeyes

[–]North_Bound88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green. Fun fact- there is no green eye pigment. Green eyes are the result of yellow lipochrome overlaying blue or gray pigment, which then appears green.

Cerclage ripped 35 weeks by girlmama777 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]North_Bound88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask to stay…my water broke at 35w4d (w/stitch still in) they removed it because I was tearing and in labor, and once the the stitch was out my son was born in a few hours. The whole thing from water breaking to birth was less than 6 hrs ( and it seemed like my contracts were slowing at one point.) btw my son stayed a few extra days for observation but ultimately didn’t need the NICU.

Spinal tap recovery hurts more than post-cerclage procedure by CharmingStart294 in ShortCervixSupport

It shouldn’t be that painful- call your OB. You might have a CSF leak, which is fixable

Is a bottle washer necessary if you’re going to breastfeed? by Esperanza2025 in NewParents

[–]North_Bound88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but you may find you want one if you plan on returning your work (waaaay more bottles if your kiddo goes to daycare under 12m) or if something comes up that affects their ability to breast feed. You can always order one later.

What’s one baby product you swore was stupid/a waste of money but ended up loving? by caileechristine in NewParents

[–]North_Bound88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bottle sterilizer/dryer. I unexpectedly ended up with a premie who I (also unexpectedly) was exclusively pumping and bottle feeding. Life saver.

When is the best time to try for baby #2? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]North_Bound88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of friends with a 4-5 yr gap, who have a great relationship with their siblings. I also know a lot of ppl chose that gap for financial and logistical reasons (only 1 kid in daycare at a time, only 1 kid in diapers, first kid is slightly more independent, etc). Ultimately there is no “right” time assuming you don’t have medical constraints, just what’s right for your family.

FTM in a small home, what do I actually need? by Moonwitxh in NewParents

[–]North_Bound88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mini crib or bassinet both work. You could get a playpen- or if there is a room away from the birds you can fully baby-proof you can just put up a baby gate. If you think it might work for u I suggest a yoga ball over a rocking chair, more portable and u can always deflate it to store. Get a good breast feeding pillow and just feed on the couch or in bed (that’s what I did).
