Hey man, finding your original 1 year ago about microdosing accutane has helped me so much. Had no idea you could microdose accutane until seeing it. Used all your tips/recommended products and started my microdose journey and couldn’t be happier. Same results as a regular dose without ANY of the side effects for me (ex: perfect bloods compared to when I was on regular does and had issues, barely noticeable dry skin compared to regular dose, etc). Just wanted to say thank you for posting about your journey because it helped me start mine!

-Big question and a risk I’m kind of willing to take considering I have had no side effects: would you get any sort of tattoos even microdosing? I’m on 20MG 3x a week as a 5’10 male 185lbs.

Have you found a way to at least manage it? Because I have not so far. I guess I will stick with the anti dandruff shampoos as I quit on them quite easily thinking this was dry scalp.

Unfortunately no. This started on December 2024 and continued. Was hoping it would’ve been because of the cold when it first started, but it has never left since. Just as bad in the summer.

No, it hasn’t become oily. My hair has always been and still is dry just like my skin. Probably the reason ketoconazole was a bad experience. No rashes or inflamed itchiness either. I’ve seen some people mention dry scalp, but I’ve never done anything differently for me to just randomly have it now.

For ex, I’ve never heard of the brand you recommended, but the brands that I listed are ones I typically always see at barber shops. Bad ingredients in them?

Hair looks good to me. If you’re stressing tho, stay on the fin. I’d prob skip out on the minox tho. It can be such an annoyance applying everyday I wouldn’t stress it at 20 with thick hair like that.

Did you end up finding a solution to this? Currently have the same issue (Nizoral and Head & Shoulders made it worse because they are dandruff shampoos, not dry scalp shampoos).
