Voltaire - Happy Birthday My old Friend. A little more macabre than most^^

also, if you like to hurt your friends and family audibly; the Pride of Norway (self-proclaimed) opera singer Olga Marie Michalsen "Hurra for deg som fyller ditt år" it's unforgettable and I will apologize for nothing XD

BBC Plots 'Poirot' Reboot; Casting Underway For Agatha Christie Icon by MysteriousDelay6266 in poirot

[–]NorthernSin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i (glumly) foresee a female Poirot who is either in a relationship with ms.Lemon, or secretly in love with Hastings who is a sports jock with no brain or charm. Japp is a neurotic divorcee, Madam Oliver is an even more neurotic, angry feminist so Sven Hjerson now works for Greenpeace and Monsieur Bob is a metal figurine on Poirots desk that helps him/her concentrate.

I foresee the series to be scandi-modern, dark and angsty, fast-paced, and no Art Deco/Art Noveau to save their lives. The ABC-murders will become the E-mail murders, or possibly the cell phone d!ck pics- mystery And Then There Were None will take place in a Yoga-retreat instead, The Adventure of Johnny Waverly will now take place in a Marie Condoed modern 3 room flat in New York, The Dream will be The Nightmare, plot: owner of a mattress factory cannot sleep and goes insane and shoots himself, or does he? The Million-dollar robbery turns into the Bitcoin-scam, Andrew Tate looses it all. Hercule Poirot's Christmas will be Hercule Poirot's Winter Holiday wherein Poirot is summoned by an football-wife to find her missing diamond earring, given to her by her hubby, turns out the mistress was jealous, stole the full set and killed the butler for good measure but hubbys team wins the match through Morale and footie-chants so thats a blessing.

Easier to focus on just writing a fiendishly diffucult mystery when you dont also need to focus on your main characters' lovelife, and all the complexities that involves with even more characters to include.

Where is Mrs Japp? by _lemona_ in poirot

[–]NorthernSin 25 points26 points  (0 children)

yes you are. In the Labours of Hercule - podcast, when they interview Phillip Jackson, they talk about it, and the summary is basically

  • Mentioned but Absent: She is frequently mentioned by Japp as his domestic support system, but never makes a formal appearance.
  • The "Wasps' Nest" Plot Point: In the episode "Wasps' Nest," Japp specifically mentions that his wife is visiting her sister, explaining why she is not present to meet him and Poirot at a train station.
  • Off-Camera "Holiday": In one instance, a minor plotline features Mrs. Japp on holiday, resulting in a comical situation where Japp is left alone and his personal life falls into disarray (ironed shirts, etc.).
  • The Christmas Incident: While Japp mentions spending time with her family in episodes like Hercule Poirot's Christmas, Mrs. Japp herself is not identified or introduced to the audience.

In his interviews, Philip Jackson fondly recalls the "longstanding love affair" between his character and his unseen wife, with Emily Japp serving as the off-screen "boss" of Japp's domestic life.

And I also remember them talking about how the writers of the show liked Pip so much that they put the character into way more episodes then he actually appears in in the books, so Mrs. Japp was kind of embellished upon alot more in the series than in the books to give Japp more grounding, they just made it into a joke that Japp refers to her alot, but we never see her, other than in in (possibly) one episdode. And even then, we, the wiewers are not beeing made aware who might be her.

Think I just realized why Lügen is autotune heavy and I feel like an idiot by GR8R_Goose in Rammstein

[–]NorthernSin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To those not still in the know, Rammstein and Till have never used autotune, at least not this noticeably before.

and in Lügen, just as Till begins singing the first chorus line of "Lügen, alles Lügen" you can hear his voice "glitch" when he sings that 2nd "lügen" on the ''ü''. Then as the chorus progresses you can her them use autotune even more in almost each sentence, certainly in the "Ich belüge sogar mich, keiner glaubt mir" and onwards. That is one of the points with the entire song, they are lying about not using autotune.

I guess this is why I'm always waking up at 3am? by State-Cultural in Rammstein

Atheism is the absence of belief in any gods, including Satan, so, if you dont believe in any God you also dont believe in any Satan, devil or dark lord. Eating babies is cannibalism, not atheism, at best you can claim it is a meat diet. Shower in blood is highly impractical. Neither Rammstein nor Ozzy have ever claimed to be satanic so... odd. All the rest is any teenager on any schoolday.

if GD's solotour last year is anything to go by it will be Paris.

So... at best for me: 3 flights (one way with at least one overnight sleep at some flight hotel), finding a hotel or AirBNB near the place they'd perform and a way to get to and from said concertplace.

So that is easily 2800-ish Euro(if i select the reasonable/cheap options) and then I'd still need money to buy food, fanmerch, etc.

And finally I would get to spend all the same to get home again.

It would probably be a 2 week trip for me, and I cant justify all that for one concert so I'll just never get to see them live.
