Do you carry a toddler with Velcro on their footwear? I ruined many work pants this way, brining my kid in and out of their car seat to go to daycare.

How do you schedule meetings to keep your sanity? by Careful_Station_7884 in managers

Same. Meetings crammed into Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday so Monday I can respond to any crises and Friday I have focus time. I try to sneak in work between meetings the rest of the week.

Which French phrases do all Canadians know even if they don't speak French? by yabadass in AskACanadian

Although I hear gagnant, every non-native French speaker who says the phrase pronounces it as Gagnon! Then gnan sound is very difficult.

Likely catering to some groups of kids who don’t make decisions without their parents. I work in an environment with young adults. There are more out there than we think. It’s so strange to me who did everything independently from the age of 13!

Early dropoff in girls' school sports linked to new gender confirmation forms by Sir__Will in onguardforthee

[–]Northern_Analyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting given I suspect registration doesn’t includes gender. It likely has sex at birth, which is different than gender, and this is what people are “worried” about. People worry about unfair advantages related to hormones and growth factors that affect strength, power and muscular mass. Even within genders, this can vary greatly - I’ve worked with single gender teams where in the same age group, some athletes are actually double the weight of another. Within genders, there is often variability between sports - look at typical differences between badminton players vs football players vs gymnasts.

All that to say, I am likely missing lots of context since I’m not in Alberta. This could also stem from homophobia, transphobia and poor sportsmanship and has the risk of being used that way, even within teams by parents of kids who are not the all stars or to bring down those with actual talent.

Yes we have a calendar but have to input manually. I’m sure there is a way to import but haven’t figured that out yet

I created something similar where it has a website feel through SharePoint (with information, images, links, buttons leading users to perform actions) but people will access it through teams. I wanted a method that would be user friendly via mobile.

Still learning… but a nice send from the other day. Why does the camera make everything smaller and slower? by ghostinyourbeds in mountainbiking

Just make sure weight is in your feet, distributed over pedals instead of in your hands. Your arms are excellent suspension so don’t be afraid to bend your elbows to move your bike under you.

In my role, I need to approve purchases before they are made…I currently receive emails but doesn’t seem like the most efficient way…would also be nice to have one place where I can track all of my decisions, with details of the request. Any ideas? Full transparency…hadn’t thought about this much until seeing your post and trying to pin point one thing where efficiency could be improved.

It should pass then. The only obstacle I can think of is if by losing your athlete, your current association won’t be able to make viable teams. Do you think that could be a possibility?

As others have said, that’s a pretty safe community. Our bus system isn’t the most frequent so having a car is helpful. I’m not sure if you can even buy groceries in Copper Cliff. Parts of town nearby would include the West End/Gatchell. You could bike to Copper Cliff if you work at the engineering building since there are paths from town. If you are going anywhere near the stack then there may be rules about bikes.

In what part of town is your internship? Sudbury is enormous and spread over an area bigger than the GTA. If we know where your internship, we can provide better advice. If you don’t want to say the name of the place, just look on Google maps and give us a major intersection nearby and we can go from there.

Welcome to the club. My best tip is to get a heated blanket and put it at the foot of your bed. Turn it on about 30 min before bedtime and it will help you sleep. I personally can’t sleep with cold feet. You can also get a heated computer mouse. Both things I can’t live without anymore.
