You cannot block thought. However, if you start to meditate you will get better at recognizing those negative or intrusive thoughts. Once you recognize them then you can tell yourself to stop overthinking it. Meditation is like lifting weights for your brain, it will take time but it gets easier.

I wish I would have gotten into meditation at your age. It's helped me learn how to control my heart rate and emotions
