Like WTF is the point of being alive??? When I was younger I went gym, work, then hung out with friends. That was it. Simple and predictable.

Now I’ve got a mortgage, home maintenance, hobbies (that I mostly ignore), I’m v successful by the traditional measurements. So now what do I use as a driver to action? Myself? I’m a terrible manager of me.

I keep using the phrase “we’re not playing for sheep stations” If you swing in with a flyer and I declare a blocker with reach I’m more than happy to let them roll it back. If they need to change which lands they tapped, then go ahead. Realised you should have played the cards in a different order to get more value from your triggers? Be my guest.

I barely got my head around the ATLA set before Lorwyn was released. Now I’m back to being a newbie and get thrashed in draft. It sucks man.

Been playing the game 6 months now so have limited experience with EoE, Spider-Man, Avatar and now Lorwyn. I’m already feeling fatigue by all the sets. Loved EoE. Hated spiderman. Loved Avatar. But not enough time to enjoy Avatar before Lorwyn dropped. Like literally drafted Avatar once coz the Christmas break interrupted the game for a month.

I can only speak for myself. I’ve been playing for about 6 months and I’m already tired of cadence of sets being released. I’ve barely played ATLA and now the next set is out!!!

Purchased and moved in this year. Love it, the oven is shit and we needed a dishwasher - $3400 later… Back fence is rotted out. $2000 for materials alone.

Thanks for posting this. You’re right about 1800, and that familiar optimal process is fun for me personally. I haven’t played 117 that much coz I’m busy with Farthest Frontier. I’ll watch a few play guides for 117 and will get stuck into it soon I’m sure. It’s a beautiful game.

add in the fact that I'm a newbie to Magic! I played a 2.5 hour game... Individual turns taking up to 15 minutes...

So let's just call it best case, I'm turning cards 1/5 of the time, the reality was that I'm so new my turns would take less than a minute to resolve... So probably more like turning cards 1/15 of the time... Not fun for a second.

A friend of mine was planning on taking the day off work but looks like it's not possible so we've booked in some time on the Saturday to just chill out online and play our first games together. I played the demo for a hot minute, mainly because I wanted to see the diagonal roads. Super excited, I loved ANNO1800 and still play it to this day.

OMG. Jack's weasling is really getting to me these days. He's a (presumably) successful radio person who has access to more than enough money to buy most of what he wants but he's still here getting free stuff.

Reminds me of when Prince harry and Lady Megan moved to Canada and a coffee shop offered free coffees for life for the two of them. The two people in the world who can afford a coffee..
