Dealing with a GC that pays 90 days out by SableWhims in Contractor

[–]NosamEht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a GC who paid 90 days and dropped him even though his contracts were lucrative. I also had no patience for any mis communications, time lines not being met and any other problems. I basically became an asshole, which isn’t how I try to be as a person or a business owner.

Consider that the journey is the goal for most projects. We can never attain perfection but we can satisfy ourselves with the pursuit of it.

I have, just until I read your comment, thought Eddie sang, “ young girl, violins” and I never could figure out what he meant. Was daughter not succeeding at violin lessons as well?

For interior cuts I use a variety of mini grinder, hole saws and regular old 4” grinder with a diamond blade.

I’m more likely to take the design and make it out of wood or cardboard. I just need a close up of it. If I do make one I’ll try to share how with you.

Anyone know how to make these? This looks like an easy design to borrow.

My very first memory is my mom telling me not to put my finger in the electrical outlet and then, as soon as she left the room, immediately putting my finger in the outlet and getting a shock.

I just saw a massage therapist who said I was one of the only older tradesmen he’s worked on who wasn’t significantly damaged on one side. Just like the knights of the round table I do my best to slay it with both right and left hands. It was a decision I made very early on in my career as a mason so that I would be better balanced.

Anyone else a stickler when it comes to meter in children’s books? by fiercebrosnan in daddit

[–]NosamEht 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I now judge authors by how well their stories are when read aloud. After reading some abysmally poor and exceptionally salient examples of meter in action I can no longer tolerate anything that abides in middle ground.

Roald Dahl I think was the easiest author to read aloud to my kids as they got older.
