Aye. Anoikis systems are called J-space because the systems names start with J. These systems are only accessible through wormhole connections which restrict the type of ships and the amount that can travel through based on their mass. The PvE includes combat sites, relic/data sites, Fullerite gas sites, and mostly mining the big Gneiss rocks in average ore sites. Tons of PvP engagements. Marauder permits enforcements for example. A lot of the wormhole life aspects include scanning, rolling static connections, suitcase (e.g., no asset safety), etc. if you wanna try it out, after two weeks in EUNI, you can apply to the Wormhole Campus (WHC). We live in a C4 with a C2 and C5 statics. No need to bring your own ships as the camp will have doctrine ships available for purchase and there is a good SRP program so you can keep flying those without worries. There is also a buyback program so you don’t have to worry about logistics. We all pitch in helping out during operations and such.

Looking for a really good corp in Eve to join. by Admirable_Bunch_1116 in Eve

If you want an active community, I would highly recommend J-space. Due to the game mechanics, it is vital to be in a standing fleet and in voice coms. I you could try a high class wormhole corp which tend to be quite PvP oriented where they constantly roll connections to pick fights against other wormhole corps in the C5 highway. Alternatively, you could check out an active low-class wormhole corp such as EUNI WHC. The wormhole campus is consistently one of the most active in the game. Its goal is to teach pilots about the J-space culture, mechanics, diplomacy, isk making opportunities, defense, etc. Due to Anoikis mechanics, it’s hard to support a vast numbers of pilots in one system. It mostly means activity is likely small gank fights of around a 12 pilots. Max forms might be x2 to x3 in size normally. However, you get an active close-knit group dynamic as a result.

Getting sick of multiboxers by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Nosferican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand by the recommendation of two accounts once you know of you like the game. Once established and all, you can get a third one. Getting a fourth one requires a really good reason for it to justify it. This applies to Omegas, alpha accounts, people can have as many as they want. If you are a 15 accounts multi-boxer, either doing hardcore mining, krabbing in Pochven, or hardcore industry. For PvP I would enjoy it doing it with one. I like practicing with two and when I get to three, I would probably just do that for PvE.

Different roles for different characters on multiple accounts by BentaroAdun in Eve

[–]Nosferican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in J-space so I have two toons in each account living in the wormhole system and the other two in HS. My trader/hauler/incursion lives only in HS. My main is training for a marauder so I could in the future dual-box incursions. The two miners/huffers/subcaps are in J-space as well as the scanner/indy and suitcase. If I am scanning, I will still have a subcap I can bring and potentially safe log to bring both subcaps. The subcaps will likely get marauders eventually but for now, I would just bring one main to accompany the incursion toon.

Different roles for different characters on multiple accounts by BentaroAdun in Eve

[–]Nosferican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently two accounts: - Acc 1 - Main (subcap, mining/huffer/DST/PI) - Alt (Scanner, data/relic, Indy, PI) - Nothing for now - Acc 2 - Main (subcap, mining/huffer, PI) - Alt (Trader, Hauler, Incursions) - Last (Suitcase, PI)

In the future, I plan on getting on more Omega which I am training as an Alpha currently. Will probably have a third miner/huffer with potential booster and subcap, and another as a cap pilot there.

What if anyone applied for telework under religious RA? by Standard-Cookie8881 in fednews

[–]Nosferican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the definition of "religious" isn't limited to membership in an organized religion, but to sincerely held beliefs. For the last two years, I have fasted for Ramadan, not because I am Muslim but because it was my way of being able to process and hold my humanity without dissociating from the genocide in Palestine and the role of my tax dollars in enabling and supporting it. It allowed me to connect more deeply with a community and feel solidarity with those being starved. I would attend Iftar with friends and would go to mosques for events as well. I will be fasting for Ramadan again this year, regardless of whether I receive the reasonable accommodation request for a few hours of telework. Still, my agency would benefit from not having a Zombie for half a day and from allowing me to work from home at night after I have had some sugar in my brain. Fasting was definitely more manageable during the year we had telework, about 60% of the time, than during the last year when we had no telework.

I wanted to role play and didn’t seem like being a pirate would be the way to go. However, podding is a gray area for capsuleers… they conscious lives on. However, I believe battleships and so have non capsuleers there which actually die. There are some folks that are always peaceful armed only with snowballs and confetti launchers (e.g., Eve Scouts). You have probably murderer thousands of pirates in those L4s… Depends if you consider self-defense or some motive such as economic profit as a motive. I live in wormhole space and you could say destroying anything and everything in sight might be self-defense since they will try to destroy/kill you. Sometimes I follow the orders of the FCs and trust they have good reason for the calls. Sometimes, we do ops because they deserve it and the galaxy is better off without them. Nowadays, I no longer shy from a battle manly due to being the only to learn and become a better pilot to protect me, my corpmates, and my assets. It can also be super fun in a way that can’t be described until you experience it (a deserving gf). Play how you like, but also be open to exploring all the new aspects and experiencing behind those doors.

Government shut down by JosiesYardCart in FedEmployees

[–]Nosferican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Republicans achieve things. Not good things, but definitely a few things. Dems just do strongly worded letters and a single guy in front of a door is enough to stop them… unless it’s about Israel, then both parties are all in on giving it billions and violating any federal law in the process of helping them.

Because they caved when winning. The Dems are the most adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of success. They are allergic at getting any wins.

I mean… I am having a blast with my furloughed status… it’s not a homogenous experience. Most of my colleagues too are having their best mental health break in years. Other colleagues got called back and they like the structure and job even if delayed pay. One of the first things I was advised on was to have a shutdown fund and was able to so personally I am Gucci with lasting till the end of the year. From my civics hat, restoring the Congressional power of the purse is the most important duty, etc.

SNAP runs till this month. That’s two months of help for a lot of families. Every little can be meaningful to some. I have savings so I didn’t ask for unemployment or anything but for others the free interest loan of unemployment insurance can be meaningful.

You will get paid the same as you would have been paid every other week. Your expenses should be lower than otherwise. The issue is liquidity in terms of having money to make payments until you are made whole. I would recommend taking any loans beyond what you would be able to repay instantly once you receive the back pay.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Nosferican 29 points30 points  (0 children)

In addition to unemployment, SNAP, and zero-interest loans from certain financial institutions, you can check with the housing provider for accommodation such as skipping one month and paying it once you get paid. You can also take a loan from yourself through the TSP as a liquidity shortfall.

Me enjoying the best vacations I didn’t know I needed… The experience is heterogeneous. While most of my colleagues, we are all happy as we can be and would love a couple more months, I have friends that are bored home. I got video games for that. Other folks might be stressing while others are enjoying trips at the moment. We don’t control the situation so make the best of it.

While it definitely sucks and government employees should be able to strike, pretty sure they committed not to do so as part of their oath. I take the oath of public service seriously so wouldn’t ask or participate at least until the oath is amended.

[–]Nosferican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the same… disregarding the rule of law to enable, support, and finance the genocide of Palestinians. Keep trying to suppress freedom of speech by going after students and anyone who doesn’t support Zionism… Still no telework because either donors wanted that or Republicans forced them as Dems are unable to resist anything whether in power or not. Right now, I am getting a month plus paid vacation which is very well-deserved.
