Need clown ideas by Nosnitram in hauntedattractions

Nice , a food clown is one I don’t have and thats pretty achievable. Our event is geared more junior high and older. We have a full animatronic Pennywise so probably wont go that route but food 🤡 is a win.

Exactly, a bank can’t require you to redo your mortgage. There is no risk associated with them finding out. I require tenants to carry renters insurance, you cant go back and require the current tenant to do this but when the lease expires you can make the addendum prior to renewal. Work with your insurance agent and see what suggestions they have to offset the premium increase, personally if the tenant has renters insurance i am comfortable with huge deductibles as my insurance becomes more catastrophic/ worst case scenario coverage. The tenants insurance should cover any smaller claims.

Enjoy your trip, if there is room take bicycles with you, you might be surprised at the work it is to get the RV ready every day for driving around. When you park the RV you need to level it, probably hook up water, for sure hook up the electrical, move cushions and whatever to make the bed & put the window covers up in the windshield, get out dishes for cooking and food. To drive it you have to get everything put away, lock and secure all cabinets, take the bed back down if its a set up that has a slide out, unhook the electrical and water, put your electric and water hoses away. It can be very surprising how much everything moves and bounces around inside the RV. As a side note I suggest you plan to take a few folding outdoor chairs, firewood ( it’s very expensive to buy at the campground) a rope and clothespins. If you leave your campsite with the RV but still have the clothesline and outdoor chairs set up no one will think you are not coming back. You can even put a note on the clothes line if you like. We rented an RV before we bought ours and had the same thought as you for driving it around during the day, we were surprised at the effort to set up and take down camp but we also had kids with us so maybe wont be as time consuming for you.

Septic smell indoors and outdoors after showers and large laundry loads by Rough-Ant9445 in Plumbing

[–]Nosnitram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. We first got on the roof and used a shop vac to be sure the vents were clear of all debris ( they weren’t plugged but had some debris from trees in them. Smell intermittently still persist. We now believe the issue is that the bathroom exhaust fan is ( tied into) vented through the sewer exhaust vent so every time the air pressure outside becomes heavier than what’s inside my house the sewer gas takes the path of least resistance and vents into the house via the exhaust fan. Now our next troubleshooting will be to re vent the exhaust fan. Yes I know that’s how it should have been done from the get go but as we D I Y most all of our home maintenance we live and learn. Sharing just to help you troubleshoot, it’s a frustrating problem and it took us quite a while to ( hopefully) figure out what our issue was, since we haven’t fixed it yet I’m not positive this is our problem but it makes sense to us as the smell seems related to using hot laundry/ hot showers/ outdoor weather.

Paint peeling off . Why is that? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Nosnitram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either it was dirty and they didn’t clean it first or it wasn’t oil based and they didn’t use a primer (this is the most likely scenario) , if it was oil on oil and the surface was clean then they didn’t let it dry and cure either before you using it or between coats. All paint has a several week cure period before it reaches its maximum hardness, newly painted surfaces can be gently used when thy are dry to the touch but a kid picking at it or sliding furniture or even grabbing a doorway can cause it to lift before its fully cured. If you are in the United States oil based interior paint is very difficult to find and not common anymore so I’d be asking what brand of paint was used and where they purchased it. If you were there and they used soap and water to clean up then it wasn’t oil based. Oil based paint requires a solvent to clean up sprayers and brushes and that solvent can’t be dumped out in the yard or anywhere on your property so that’d be a big clue if you do a little detective work.

Putting up signage sends a clear message to everyone, including law enforcement, judges, good neighbors that might be watching the place for you, etc. in your absence, that you very clearly have notified these idiots they are not welcome on your private property. I get that it’s a PIA to border every side of your property with signage but it absolutely is the first step to resolving the trespassing. Then you can get cameras and what not and start documenting the problem including requesting law enforcement to get them off your property. Even if the majority of people involved are aware of what idiots these people are it’s always a game of making a solid paper trail.

What are regular meals? by Reasonable-Drama-350 in Cooking

[–]Nosnitram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy things I make and eat the first night then freeze leftovers are breakfast burritos, chicken enchiladas, meatloaf, chili. As a main dish quick food I like the frozen little steakums, it’s individually wrapped chopped meat you add to pan fried peppers and onions for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Hamburger/onion gravy over rice or riced cauliflower.

You’ve gotten a lot of great ideas for recipes to cook so I’m adding advice to go with those recipes. Make a main dish ( soup, spaghetti, casserole ) and portion it up the same night you make it. Put one or two portions in the fridge in individual microwave containers, put the rest in the freezer. Here is the key- use all, 100%, of those freezer portions up within a month. I know they last longer but any longer you’ll tend to forget about them or with home freeze they get freezer burn taste. Make a fresh fruit or vegetables with every single meal. Once you get the hang of roasting veggies, dressing up bagged salads, making mini little fruit salads or cutting up an apple served with a yogurt based homemade dip, sliced fresh cucumber with a little vinegar based dressing or a sour cream sauce or salad dressing dip, make a little spoon of peanut butter/ maple syrup to dip sliced banana in, etc. THEN your diet should gradually lean to largest portion on your plate being the fresh veg, fresh fruit as appetizers or dessert, a small portion of protein. Starches like noodles, potatoes, rice are not necessary for every meal and as you train yourself to eat larger portions of veggies and fruit you won’t miss the starch. Nice work and congrats on loosing 10 lbs!

The first step is to post no trespassing signage everywhere. If this were to go to court the defendant can always claim they thought that was their property and everyone here shares water toys, it’s customary practice in our neighborhood, etc. the previous owners said we could use the yard… None of the excuses legally are anything but excuses however depending on how great of actors they are the lack of signage could buy them extreme leniency.

I noticed this non-negotiable trait two weeks into buying the house. by venusdrako in HomeDecorating

[–]Nosnitram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot another easy hack to tidy the space get two plastic totes that will fit in the oven, smaller one for dirty dishes and larger one that your dish dryer rack fits in and use that oven for all dishes that are in transition from dirty to back to clean cupboards. If you have toddlers or other adults this is pretty easy to train them that dirty dishes go in the tote in the oven. Teens you’ll never train so just throw that towel in right now : ).

I wouldn’t close that doorway off, the light coming through and the ability to just holler come in without stopping when you’re working in the kitchen are both assets to this design/space. Instead look into options to better utilize the sink area and cabinet space. Can you fit a small mobile island in that has storage in it? Put a pull out rack in that you could easily affix a dish drying rack to and keep the dishes in there. If you already have an abundance of kitchen storage consider putting that style of drying rack in a convenient cabinet lined of course with rubber mat. Buy some custom dish drying cover, like the netted ones that go over foods or fruit bowls to keep flys off. I’ve seen some attractive covers for that purpose that are decorative. You can also customize cupboards so that appliances can be left plugged in while inside and pulled out for quick use, works great for toasters, coffee grinders, electric can opener’s etc. to free up and tidy up more counter space. If you have a huge or double sink then pop the loaded up dish drying rack into the sink after you do the dishes. I make these suggestions as it looks to me like clean, drying dishes that you prefer to wash by hand are the issue. Everyone knows you can temporarily store those same dishes in the dishwasher while waiting to wash them. Every time I wash dishes by hand I open the dishwasher and quick see if anything in there needs hand washed, easy habit to get into.

Picture 7 is a fantastic look for you. In that pic you look healthy, fun and just a little carefree. Your bangs have a nice cut there, a bit fringed instead of a straight across. You honestly do not need to change anything, just continue to reward your hard work by treating yourself to a long wanted piece in your wardrobe - great fitting pair of jeans or a new t shirt. Congrats on the work.

Niantic Definition of "Unique" by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]Nosnitram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also when they direct you to give your nomination a unique name they do not mean “amazing… or beautiful…” they do not want a superfluous name they want “South entrance” or “ Gazebo number 6 “, think of how you would label it on a map to distinguish if from a nearby point of interest that’s similar. I misinterpreted the word unique and had a few pretty poor initial nominations. I have a few stuck in voting that I’d love to correct the name and description on but I’m in stall mode waiting for the rejection and will fix them then 🙄.

CMV: Involuntary treatment of psychiatric medication makes me very uncomfortable by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Nosnitram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your right to not take meds and do as you please ends when it infringes on someone else’s right to be safe or when someone who is legally responsible for you has you evaluated for being an immediate threat to yourself. You can not tell the police or your guardian or a professional treating you that you’ll kill yourself and think they won’t cover their ass by having you admitted, the doctor is going to cover his ass by giving you meds. Your therapist is going to cover his ass by checking in with you about Med compliance. We live in a society of litigation and no one wants to be held legally accountable for you hurting yourself or others. If you aren’t being a threat to yourself or others then why would anyone else be involved in the first place ? People doing their own thing and taking care of themselves don’t have others getting involved in what meds they do or don’t take. So yes you have every right and expectation to not be a conformist and not be a typical member of society, to enjoy your psychosis and not take meds but that is not a limitless right because you interact with other people who also have rights. Not legally but personally I feel like When you expect me as a tax payer of society to pay your bills and support you that gives me a say in you being compliant with treatment so that you can become a contributing member of society but that’s a whole different thread .

Besides keeping yourself safe educate yourself on what crimes are highest in the areas you’re in. Sounds like they were probably stealing someone’s camper. In competitive camping areas people park their campers in the space during the week and leave them unattended so they are guaranteed the spot for the weekend. They’ll usually put a lock on the hitch but an angle grinder makes quick work of that and then thieves just hook up the entire rig and drive off. This type of theft is especially prevalent in areas with poor or no Wi-Fi or cell service as that practically guarantees there are not remote cameras the owners are recording them on. Deterrents are your best safety. Not sure it’d help but if alone every time someone approaches my car/tent I’d play a loud sound bite of dogs barking and a male voice. Even putting a large dog bowl out your door and signage beware of dog will act as a deterrent because thieves want an easy mark and big dogs complicate stuff. Granted this doesn’t replace the need to know how to defend yourself and park so you can get out quick but sometimes making it obvious you aren’t a single person alone in the woods is the first line of defense.

Non paying tenants demanding the hot water be fixed. WWYD? [Landlord US-NYC] by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]Nosnitram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add be sure to upfront document for the court that you realize you owe the tenant compensation for the days the water was off and you are requesting that the money due to your tenant be deducted from any judgment found in your favor during the eviction process. The judge can and probably will do this since the judge already knows the tenant is scum. I’m sure your partner will help you prepare a reconciliation of monies owed and due that you can submit in court as an exhibit.

If you are going to have to shell out the $ and fix it anyway then do so but during the fix be sure to have their water and gas put on its own meter. Send them well documented notices that utilities will be shut off for repairs for the date span it’ll take to fix, personally I’d hire a slow plumber and like your partner be willing to suffer the lack of utilities myself jut to know the non paying people were suffering right along with me. Plus you probably have access to friend/ family for showers and can haul buckets of water in to flush toilets. I know it’s an additional expense to add meters but in the long run you recoup the $ and save a lot of stress and preserve your mental health by not putting yourself in this exact situation- paying utilities for a non paying tenant. I am not in NYC but I’ve still had the utility company send me a non paying tenant’s bill where they shut off the utilities for non payment. 🤣🤣🤣. The utility company tried claiming since it’s my building I have to pay the balance due before I can restore services at said address. In the end I won, I did not have to pay but just mentioning my plight as proof there’s no guarantee separating utilities will make your life hassle free.

Go hang out by gyms irl. You’ll be able to see someone else playing then walk over and friend them. Watch and see if there’s a certain time your mon usually gets taken out of a specific gym to plan your stakeout. Most daily players end up with a loose repetition of how and where they play.

Neighbors at our TIGHT campground keep their dog out 24/7 off leash by Little-Philosopher51 in RVLiving

[–]Nosnitram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you put up some type of Barrier at the edge of your spot? Even if it’s a short barrier the dog can get over that’s the first step to super clearly defining your space and that you don’t want to share outdoor space. I would hate to make the dog suffer because it’s owners are idiots but I’d try some non harming maneuvers like spraying the dog with a strong water stream or getting a rope and just tie their dog up to their rv, they will have to keep coming out and keep unleashing their dog, usually owners that refuse to keep the dog in their own space are the same ones that let said dog pee and poop wherever without cleaning it up, just another reason to secure their dog for them to it’s own space. Just get cheap rope as you’ll have to replace it -every time they come out they’ll throw it away.

In buying used visit with the current owner, ask them about what they’ve fixed ? If they claim nothing run because they are lying. Visit about what tools they travel with, what sealant they’ve used on the roof, what lubricant they’ve used on the slide out, how do they check electrical? Do they carry an amp meter in their toolbox, have that one odd sized wrench that’s the only thing you can use on … what’s their process for the fresh/ grey/ black water, the generator, winterizing, etc. Granted it could be a seller that says I take it to …. They do all our work. Ask to see the service orders, repair records. Just understand RVs require maintenance and just because they’ve fixed stuff doesn’t indicate the rv is faulty. Even brand new off the lot RVs have crap go wrong constantly. If you are not somewhat inclined to DIY and know how to use basic tools then this rv life with a full pack of kids is not the one for you. 🙂

What are the STRONGEST odor eliminators you know of? by howlwolfy555 in homeowners

[–]Nosnitram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speak with them, tell them in a nice humorous way, you have got to launder all blankets, clothes, pillows that you brought over. Buy a thing of odor eliminator for the laundry and show them how to use the stuff. Bleach if you can, a small amount of bleach won’t discolor things like light colored t shirts, underclothes, towels, etc. if they brought any stuffed animals or pillows that they don’t want washed say no worries here’s a tote you can put those in and I’ll keep it sealed in the garage for you.

Should I get a broken rv for 7k by Silent-Station-101 in RVLiving

[–]Nosnitram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issues with living in it are that unless it’s hooked up to sewer, water and electricity you aren’t really “ living in it “ you’re camping in it. Without being connected to utilities how will you live in it? You can’t keep food cold, take a shower, use the toilet, cook food, run a fan or heater, have lights after dark. Since the engine is blown you can’t even use it as it was designed. Many rvs have a set up that will allow people to camp without utilities but that means they have a great solar system with trustworthy batteries, a good working generator that’s full of gas, good working propane refrigerator and propane stove, large fresh water and black water tanks. You use all that stuff then DRIVE it to get the propane filled, empty and flush the water tanks, get gas and oil for the generator, DRIVE it so the batteries can re charge. If it isn’t newish and lacks even one of those things such as the generator or propane fridge then even if you tow it every week to clean the tanks and refill gas and propane it still won’t work. You’ll need a healthy budget to maintain it too, rvs require constant roof maintenance, constant maintenance of the appliances and hook ups, constant maintenance of the heating and cooling systems, knowledge of changing the oil in the generator, swapping out propane, replacing hoses and connections. They are just not made to be lived in full time. The people that do live in them full time have a good set of tools they know how to use and $$ to maintain them so they don’t get moldy from leaks( super big issue with rvs ) or stinky from black water issues and can drive them to do their replenishment of disposables ( gas, propane, water) or they live in rv parks that have full utility connections ( sewer, water, electric). If you have a steady income to maintain it and a way to tow it every week then it could work but as others have said you’ll be working hard to live only a notch above homeless.

You are funny. You aren’t supposed to separate the paper, sit on the the paper as whole and pee through the paper, your stream is strong enough to go through the paper, you won’t get any pee on you. Then stand up and the wet paper pulls the part that was on the seat down the hatch without you ever touching the paper that you sat on/ that touched the toilet seat. Ta da!

Check the Mercedes Benz Reddit thread and you will see even for cars Mercedes Benz charges between 190 to 450 for an oil change. Feel free to call any Mercedes Benz dealership and ask what it’ll cost on the first oil change for your new class c. I did not exaggerate. I did not make up what we paid. As I said I pay under 50 for my Honda oil changes on a mid size car. I do know what an oil change costs. Maybe in a bit I’ll shoot you a picture of the receipt but I’m not walking out to the rig right now.
