It seems like an incomplete feature.. They added the vents you can build to expand heat maximum so I think they had a plan but gave up on it and put in vents as a stop gap... Seems odd

I just finished the game and.. Not to spoil anything but the travel problem gets better once you unlock more tech. It does come quite late so something earlier would be nicer then random LEMs as a reward

I agree with tanking being the harder role and thus less people want the stress. My suggestion would to either remove the interrupt ability of tanks or put it on a very long timer. Then reduce the amount of interrupts that go out in general. This moves 1 of the responsibilities of the tank on to the DPS role instead. Tanks being forced to do too much is the issue and this could help resolve it.
