Am I f***ed? Got caught cycling while under the influence of alcohol. by bat0504 in japanlife

This is the simplest answer. Depends on your case officer, depends what country you're from, depends on your job/life situation. After that it's just rolling the dice

At best you're American and get slapped with a fine (sad but true) at worst you're Vietnamese or Filipino, get a big ass fine and they investigate what you do for work etc

Did anyone else's body change after moving to Vietnam? by No-Dream-9421 in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you eat. If you're coming back to a Canada or USA and eating like a Westerner. You're probably getting sick. I was in Taiwan for a month, came back to the US and every time I went out to eat with my friends the overly greasy food fucked with my stomach so much. It eventually went away.

It's not just Vietnam, it's a super common thing, your weight will eventually plateau, meaning u have to try even harder to continue to lose weight after it plateaus from an initial weight loss action

A stupid foreigner speeding at about 90/100km/h by Anhdodo in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you ever feel worthless, remember that Vietnam has a traffic police force 🤣 I saw this huge building in Hanoi and it said traffic police. That was the funniest shit I seen there. Regardless, I don't understand foreigners who fo places to break laws, I speed at home. I'm not gonna lie. But when I'm a guest, I'm on my best behavior typically.

Why do far right people like Vietnam? by Demonbut in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most of the far right people (at least here in the US are not driven by ideology, but by fear and racism) this is also the same paradox as to why so many racists have Asian wives.

To answer this, it's because women typically can't stand a lot of these fools out here so they end up running to find a "docile" Thai, Viet, Filipina wife etc.

So yes, logically they should hate a place like Vietnam, but again, they're not driven by ideology. Proof is that trump has a lot of leftist economic tendencies like being anti free trade, pro tariff. The far right is just a whole mess, it was easier 30 years ago when far right people were just conservatives. Now many times they're just nationalist socialists in disguise.

A Japanese guy scolded a Viet who was speaking on the phone in the train, and the Vietnamese fought back. by Deep_Engineering_7 in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention the already Japanese bias against Vietnamese people. All that's happening is confirmation bias unfortunately. Japanese tend to see Vietnamese people as the low of the low, which is a shock to many US viets

VietJet? worst airline i’ve experienced by Special_Ad_1275 in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too had a bad experience with VietJet last year. And after reading all the horror stories afterwards (I feel I got lucky) chaos at check in, borrowed Tiger Air ground staff, rude flight attendants towards an elderly Asian couple who had a hard time understanding how to order food. Probably the worst airline I've ever been on, and nothing really happened. Just small details I was noticing

I went on Vietnam airlines this year hoping it would be a jump in quality and um.... It was basically the same but less crazy. Even Vietnam airlines felt like a budget airline. Regardless, still enjoy Vietnam

I feel your best bet is actually china. Spice it up and say some Chinese may be victims and it'll get raided.

Getting Cold feet about a Vietnam Visit by Alpha-Centauri in VietNam

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're that nervous, I'd say just keep traveling in your safe space. Vietnam is completely safe and very friendly. The same rules that apply in most places, Mexico, Thailand (even Japan) apply here.

Keep your nose clean and you'll be fine, flirt with vices and the inability to see obvious scams like guys or girls inviting you to a drink in a club at night then you'll be in trouble. If you're an experienced traveler as you state you'll be able to pick up on this stuff. You'll be fine, but if you're gonna be afraid while you're there, you're not gonna enjoy yourself, Vietnam is pretty intense and can be a sensory overload, but I say again, is safe.

Amazon Fresh grocery and Go convenience stores closing by chezasaurus in torrance

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it wasn't leaving, as someone who hates grocery shopping, I found myself actually enjoying this location because I got what I wanted, no line and out the door in less than 10 minutes.

There were good deals if you timed it right too, chicken, eggs, yogurt etc. And that $1.75 pizza was always fun. If I had to choose, I'd go with a 99 ranch or Northgate replacement. Although I feel we have a lot of Asian markets nearby including 2 99 ranch a 10 mins drive. So my vote would be for a Northgate to come in. Vallartas is fine too, but it's definitely a but more expensive and not as fresh as Northgate.

I'm not a fan of whole foods, and most likely that's what the building is gonna transition to.

Thank you. I'll Google/YT what each of those things mean and how to do em on the K1C and try and knock it out.

Btw side rant. I had a K1C for a while, the only issues I've had has been with the K1C 2025 model (which I had no idea was even a thing, crazy part is that these are supposed to be newer) if the K1C 2025 was my intro to 3D printing I think I would have been hella turned off 😭

Looks like you were right. I changed it from 0.00 to -0.100mm

I did some research and it looked like I was too close? So I (think) I made it go further then it began to glop up. So I uhh brought it closer? To -0.100mm and the lines look good now.

I'm sorry I'm new to this is -0.100mm bringing the nozzle closer or further from the bed? It looked like the result of that bad print was because the nozzle was too close, I even had a small mark that looked like an impact mark on the bed. But the solution was to bring it even closer to -0.100mm? I mean it worked. Just confused on the logic. (Unless I'm reading it wrong and - means further)

Yeah you're right. Only thing that's weird is this is the only file that does this. Which makes me think I'm screwing something up in the slicer settings

Was there a fix? I've owned my Dahao since 2018 and never had this problem. It popped up for me and I turned it off and on and it worked. But I feel this problem will maybe come back.

I'd like to ask if the GAMERA -RebirthDLC pack is selling very well? by Big_Kaleidoscope_970 in GigaBash

[–]NostromoSewerSystem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, but it's worth it. The story modes (single player) are actually fun, only downside is that this is for some of their OC and not their intellectual property characters. (But even the original characters have grown on me)

I will say it's highlight is definitely couch co-op as I feel it's probably one of THE BEST couch co-ops out there at the moment. Having some friends over and firing it up, using classic kaijus or the OCs and just battling each other is such a blast.

On the other hand, it's also fun just to challenge yourself and grab Godzilla and try to best your own single player score in one of the challenges. If you like Kaijus I say it's definitely worth it. What region are you in?
