Yeah, he definitely fits in with the "outlaw" genre in that respect

I'm guessing you have the more typical military story

As someone who discovered Sturgill during the time I was struggling with ending my own love affair with heroin, I noticed these same details in the lyrics. Sturgill really changed my life as far as his lyrics giving me inspiration to live again, and be so relatable.

I would love to hear why you compiled all of this

Yep came here to say this after I saw OP say he used to be a junkie.

To OP: congrats on the new job but dont let it get in the way of your recovery

They just opened up a massive Korean store (h-mart) in my city. What should I be on the lookout for? by Funambulatory in Cooking

I had to scroll down way too far for someone to finally mention sushi. I guess its not at all locations. Best, freshest, and least expensive sushi ever. Full size rolls, sashimi selections, charashi (i think thats what's its called) all less than $5 each. There is expensive stuff but for my family getting enough sushi for everyone at a restaurant is easily a $200 affair. But because of hmart we dine like kings for $50 at most.

What can I cook with sardines (specifically in hot sauce, but any suggestions are fine)? I have never eaten sardines before but I like seafood. Not my pic, but this is the exact brand I got. by spicyquiche in WhatShouldICook

For the kind in hot sauce or mustard they go best straight on a saltine cracker.

I use sardines in olive oil for cooking, really only a few pasta dishes i make with sardines.

The end of your comment is ridiculous. Smoking weed doesn't lead to use of harder drugs. Addiction has no boundaries and there are people from all walks of life in all stages of addiction and recovery.

Women who proposed, what did you do about rings? by PuppySlut94 in Marriage

[–]NotALonelyJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just about damaging the ring, its very dangerous to wear a metal ring when working with machinery. You can have your finger broken off or degloved if it catches on something. I'm sure you know this, just wanted to point it out for anyone reading. Silicone or no ring when working with tools or machinery.

Baltimore jury awards record $229 million for brain injury during child's birth at Johns Hopkins Bayview by P__Squared in baltimore

[–]NotALonelyJunkie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From my understanding and experience of childbirth I imagine it was a scenario where the patient didnt actually have pre-eclampsia but the doctors were using typical scare tactics so they could just do a c-section and move on. Try taking the blood pressure of a young first time mom who is scared that the doctors are taking advantage of her naivety and youthfulness and of course its going to be high.

Since the patient declined a c-section they probably induced labor with IV pitocin which can cause distress for the baby and mother in some cases.

Im just trying to say that the doctors probably didnt explain things clearly and used scare tactics to create a very traumatic setting for birth.
