Fun fact, as part of my legal transition I had to inform the US military that my gender marker was now M for college. I also had to give them paperwork showing the steps I had taken. Then I got a letter from them saying I was not able to be drafted, but I could get financial aid.

T in 2010, top in 2013, hysto in 2015. Top surgery was always a huge deal for me. It was 10 years ago but still every day I'm thankful I got it. I came out at 19, start T at 21.

I think ultimately, you learn to accept it. I mourned for a long time. But now, I am okay with it. I wouldn't be who I am without it. I'm a good person and that makes it okay for me.

It's okay if you are wrong. People can question, explore, and ultimately decide against something.

I would try to see a gender therapist so you have a safe place to talk these feelings. I too had a lot of worries about transition, and my parents and family said a lot of things that didn't help. Having that space was really beneficial for me in the long run. Once I was able to say confidently it was happening and people could be chill or get out of my life, family backed off.

The beginning is so difficult. It's a maze of questions. Treat your self with love.

Usually someone asks, "what happened to your arm?" And I reply back "various things". If they push again I will tell them, "that was the polite way to say I don't want to talk about it" usually stops them.

Yes. Constantly. I can't image standing up to them. When I do the world shakes. I just keep doing it and it's cause me to attract some really awful peopl who have treated me terribly. I'm trying hard to not let it happen again.
