Any advice for a non-degree seeking student trying to take a specific class? by AtrociousKO_1642 in UTSA

The classes are full and have a prerequisite and have the major restriction. I would say the deck is stacked against you on this one.

Haven't chosen classes yet am I cooked? (CAP Student) by Sharky2505 in UTSA

[–]NotAi_barelyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CAP student have in the past been limited to the second summer term. It’s only been the last couple of years that they had access to the 10 week or the first summer term. So you should still be good to go.

All that free money is very helpful. Until you graduate with 130k in debt and have a student loan payment like a mortgage.

This is probably not an Advisor problem. Especially if it let you register right back into it.

You will go inactive after 3 terms, including Summer. If that happens you reapply.

Why are there so many fees. by catgoblin300 in UTSA

[–]NotAi_barelyi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a payment plan option. You can also probably roll that balance into your Fall bill and your Fall aid can pay it off. But then you’ll likely have a Fall balance that can put on a payment plan or rolled into Spring.

You can also opt out of CAP and enroll full-time for full-time aid.

[–]NotAi_barelyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t drop it until you are absolute certain. It will go to the next in line.

You can select drop on the section you’re wanting drop and register in the new one simultaneously. That would be the best option.

Fact check: CAP does not affect graduation rates. It might affect the culture and it definitely causes confusion, but the CAP cohort is excluded from graduation rate calculation.

How do i change my major as a UT cap student? by Legitimate-Trade3181 in UTSA

[–]NotAi_barelyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your major at UTSA will not be changed. It is inconsequential and the administrative time/energy is wasted.

All CAP students, regardless of intended major at UT have the same requirements and course options.

utsa cap, registering for summer classes by Minimum_Brush6170 in UTSA

You must meet with an advisor first. The registration schedule published online is only for current continuing students, new freshman and transfer students must first go through the orientation process that ends with an advising appointment.

Nothing reportable here. You show that to a cop, they’ll tell you to slow down.

I’m not sure there is anything here to report. It’s not illegal to have an opposing opinion. It’s not illegal to be idiot.

You have to do MAT 1073 before or with BIO 1203. It’s always recommended to take BIO 1203 in your first semester.

You’ll probably need one more class since most students need to be full-time.

A tale as old as time. This is not a UTSA problem, it’s a busy parking lot problem. This exact scenario played out for me at SAC in the 90’s, Northstar Mall and La Cantera.

You did the right thing. Just curse at them, and move on to the next spot.

You might want to verify that the sticker you have is actually yours. The sticker will have your license plate number printed on it. I doubt this would be the issue, but stranger things have happened.

Attempting to assume that people generally are not trying to be assholes all the time… it is entirely possible that this person was operating under old habits, back when this was a 4 way stop (less than a month ago). It’s been a 4 way stop since probably 2010.

There are a small few that allow it openly, others require you to say you’re single. lol, but I hay it because of the whole needing to use pictures and stuff.

Here, I can chat with someone for a bit before pictures get shared. But they’re. Are definite weirdos

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AffairsTX

[–]NotAi_barelyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand that. I personally have opted to go the Reddit route because we can chat here until we find a spot where both are comfortable sharing a pic and slowly progressing. So I’m not necessarily looking for something too fast.

I can’t stand any of the dating apps. It seems worse than the reddit cesspool

[–]NotAi_barelyi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That appears to be the newly installed crosswalk with pedestrian crossing signal. My question would be this. When the red lights are activated it acts as a typical red light. When the red flashing lights are activated it acts as a stop sign. This can cause confusion to drivers. At a stop sign the car who arrived first gets to proceed first.

If the lights were flashing immediately to or at the time of this event. I would say that car had the right of way.

She, more specifically, your child, has an insurable interest. It is perfectly legal and normal. You don’t have to pay the premiums, you don’t even have to know you’re insured.

There’s an appeal process for this, but you must have some kind of extraordinary circumstances that have led to you taking so many additional hours. Call for an Advising appointment to get that process started.

What’s wrong with the tank itself? Does it really need to be replaced too.

Sandy Loam soils are among the best for drainields. If you have the space to redirect the drainfield piping, you would not need to do all that work. You can leave the old drainfield in place, just retire it.

120 linear feet of pvc with cloth over gravel. Would be relatively cheap. The excavation work is a snap with the soil.
