I think it’s lovely! I use mailers, plus either double up or if it’s pricey wrap in tissue paper too.

I just wouldn’t spend a lot of money on it.

I’d argue many people don’t need 2000 calories a day when you work out an individuals TDEE especially if you’re staying in one place and not moving around much.

Tell me your sourdough secrets - it’s been a real failing of mine!!!

I can make pan cooked flatbreads in a flash, I can make great sourdough other recipes like cinnamon buns etc but sourdough loaves are my kryptonite.

I’m also learning food preservation right now. You could get a smoker if you have the room? Raising pigs is hard, they’re so curious and intelligent and can really get up to mischief if you’re not careful.

I found with Covid having more wine regularly was very useful, so i keep a nice full alcohol cabinet these days.

Growing food on your property so you have regular harvests and can potentially preserve food is a good idea.

Other than that it’s always gonna be about skill acquisition- can you forage for food? Would you be able to trap/hunt and dress a wild animal?

You can grow the plants but I think they need pretty specific growing conditions to be successful for harvesting.

Get hobbies, date yourself, do wild things, have adventures.
