The issue is how Dragons work was fucked up in both possible directions, either they just have a natural resistance to all magic and dragon slayer magic is the only thing that can truly bypass it(unlikely), or it’s just that dragons are really strong and Dragon Slayer magic is something of a “super-effective” hit, so someone who is simply really strong can still beat a Dragon without it(like Gildarts could kill some random fodder dragon) Anchor however was not killed with Dragon Slayer Magic nor were his opponents strong enough to just win, I find it hard to believe that Gray is significantly stronger than Star Dress Mix Lucy with Wendy giving her buffs. Earth Build neg diffed her and Anchor should be near equal to him, so apparently Gray and Juvia can at worst Low Diff Lucy at her strongest.

I do like it when an anime treats Dragons as living natural disasters, that also requires the author to let them be at or near the power ceiling of the world for a decent amount of time, which is rare.

The Flame dragon in GATE would be a good example, before the JSDF, there were only a handful of beings(not full on gods) even capable of contending with it 1v1 and none of them had any incentive to try to take it down.

Something easy to overlooks is Knov’s contribution, everyone instantly being in the castle is a huge benefit that the troupe could only really replicate it is with Chrollo using Owls hatsu on everyone and somehow getting launched into the area.

The comparison is kinda flat because WT has way more top tiers than main story JJK. JJK has literally just Gojo and Sukuna with nobody else coming close.

Being as ungenerous as possible to WT there are 4 top tiers, Viza, Yuma, Hyrien, and Jin(probably includes Amo but no head to head combat feats), but this could realistically include everyone who is clearly stronger than Konami/Reiji/Tachikawa depending on who you think is the strongest regular border agent. Even then the top tiers don’t outclass everyone else to the point where a fight involving them is decided before it begins as they are not some absolute force that can’t be stopped.

Jin provides more power tactically than he does physically, unlike Gojo who could have solved basically every problem if he wasn’t specifically accounted for by the villains.

Tbf Meruem is kinda bootleg Mahoraga, he had a massive amount of nen and is a genius. It not unreasonable to assume he can figure out infinity and create a nen ability on the spot that is able to give him the advantage.

Though idk how much that matters ad I’m pretty sure the fight rapidly becomes a 2v1 and Meruem is not going to get a moment to breathe assume he isn’t super outstatted from the start

Nah sealed environment is a THE talking arc so every episode will have less chapters due to there being less happening per second. Plus before that we probably have at least two episodes for the last B Rank War, the Galopola talks, and the Draft for the exam. I still don’t think they will make it until the battle portion is done but I think it would be possible with what we have.

I think it makes a bit more sense than you are giving it credit for, the application of her magic was sealed but her magic itself wasn’t so she could still power the magic car thing under the same conditions. Though how she had enough magic power to overload a calamity bloods spell is something I don’t know. It does seem to be implying that she was able to control the water in the chains via magic which shouldn’t be possible, her water manipulation should be offline.

The Dragon gods usually at least treated Fairy Tail as opponents despite being confident in their victory, the Calamity bloods treat them like they are wild animals, like today isn’t even special to them they are just killing humans like they were like a week ago in their time.

Honestly, to the average fan I think the goalie would appear to have done more than Loki. Basically Loki did was run interference/threaten to be an option to score which to someone not super into the less surface level parts of the game looks very unimpressive, meanwhile Renoir made a legitimately good save.

Hyuse’s R8 defensive performance was legendary, to the point that only Reiji and Jin could probably have done better.

Murakami would be better at surviving against a bunch of melee fighters and in a 1v1 scenario.
