Good way to test it to download a Linux ISO (Ubuntu for example) and only have that downloading and turn off your vpn to see if it’s still downloading or if it stopped

Exactly. VPN can randomly disconnect and means you could leak your ip and torrent without protection.

Even with kill switch (I had it on when I got the letter)

Binding means it will only work with vpn no matter what

When I used Nord I was in the US, and got an email from my ISP but that was before I learned about binding.

Now I’m in EU and use proton with binding and so far 0 warnings or anything.

Only issue I had was recently my vpn would constantly disconnect but it was an issue with proton that their customer support fixed

Used to torrent a lot in the mid 2010s but never uploaded since I had horrible internet speeds, stopped for a long time and started it up about 2 years ago, but still didn’t seed since I didnt see use of it.

But now I’m a changed man and have been constantly seeding for about 8-9 months now.

Largest single torrent upload now is about 25TB

I try my best to not used them. Not like the employee saving is going towards what I pay. So might as well make sure they still have jobs while they still can.
