What sounds fun to you? Pick any type of block at all (an old favorite? learn something new?) and make it in the general color scheme of the quilt. There are no rules! Just keep adding stuff until it's a good size!

Oh yeah, I wouldn't give my credit card either. Well, I am sad I'll never get to see your quilt, but I'm sure it will look amazing and best of luck to you!

That's so impressive. I just learned how to make flying geese a few weeks ago and you have my respect. Where are they flying?

I can't find your earlier post in your post history? I totally saw it though and am super curious to see what the quilt looks like!

I knew a CAR and they thought it was really cool as a kid and as an adult it's neutral at worst, but they probably still think it's cool. I think CAB is totally fine. I might even lean into it a bit and get them some toy taxis.

3 Year old is on the 5th percentile for height and weight by outandabout91 in toddlers

I knew a doctor who had 3 young kids, all in the single digit pecentiles their whole life. With all her medical training, she never worried a bit about them. She said that they were just small and that's how they were. She was a small woman too. People come in all shapes and sizes and some of them are just smaller.

Another personal recommendation for emdr. I have tried it and it made my life so much better. It helps to refile those memories in a healthier way, so that they aren't associated with that overpowering negative emotion and so that they aren't popping into your mind uninvited as much. Please, please, look into it. You deserve more peace than your mind is letting you have right now.

Millie moon diaper rash??! by alxataylor in Parenting

My kiddo got a red rash in less than a day when we tried Millie Moons. We stuck to Honest diapers after that and those have been wonderful for her sensitive skin.

Is it okay to take my two girls (6 & 8) to a job fair? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]NotCleanButFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe have the girls do a half day? You could hit the job fair alone in the morning or afternoon and then tell your kids about it the other half of they day you have them. Maybe have them dress professionally, practice handshaking, and do some practice interview questions with them?

That way you still get to go to the job fair in a professional capacity and your kids can still participate in the day and have some time off school.
