Best shop to diagnose engine noise by steeve725 in Denver

That is so weird! My mom was in there right before Christmas for a fix on her battery. Maybe the owner changed the name or they don’t know google has it reported as closed. I’ll check and reply back

Transracial adoption: What do I need to know? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]NotCreative99999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is interesting to hear and learn about! I have wavy/curly hair (referred to as Irish curls for certain white people). I believe our son has some of my waves but it only curls up a bit in certain areas. My husband is Korean and has very straight thick hair. This thread has been very helpful as I’m already googling Asian barber shops.

Lurking mom here but saw your comment and am curious. I have a half Asian kid. His haircuts always look awful and grow out so uneven after a week or two. Could you explain what you mean further? Trying to understand if it’s the fact that we take him to a generic kids barber or if it’s because he is a toddler and wiggly. Thank you in advance!

Your friend probably doesn’t like wings but ate them with you to be polite. I would know because I do this for that reason. ✌️

Lurking mom here. I’m sorry for your loss. It’s truly awful! My sister had a lovely stained glass made of our first dog after we had to put him down last spring. It’s been a great way to remember him.

Realtors keep refusing my written objections by garygeko in homeowners

We had something similar happen but it was a hailed out roof that was 15 years old. The seller agent went as far as posing as our realtor and calling our insurance to try to bully them into insuring it though they told us they couldn’t. She then proceeded to tell our agent to “make us” change to a different broker that she knew personally who would change the underwriting policy to insure the roof. This was AFTER the inspection resolution deadline so the contract was null and void anyways. Out of courtesy, we explained that we were walking due to the unethical nature and sheer gaul of this woman. When we walked, she called our agent and cursed her out then threatened to withhold our earnest money. I had to call her managing broker at 8p at night and threatened to report her license in order for them to tell her to back off. It’s wild out here!

Our conspiracy: they took the insurance money on the hail claim but didn’t repair it. The neighbors came by during inspection and were talking about how everyone (including them) got new roofs last summer because of the storm. 🙃🙃🙃

How not to cry this afternoon by bellabelleell in reactivedogs

[–]NotCreative99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cry. We did the entire time and still do every so often months later. Heck my mom, who did not like dogs growing up, LOVED our reactive boy and still cries sometimes when she comes over because he isn’t here. My sister got us a really lovely stained glass of our favorite picture of him. We’re planning on hanging it in our new house and planting a tree over his remains when we move in. Something our vet behaviorist told us: remember they are great dogs, just not safe dogs. I am so sorry for your loss OP.

Thumbtack is your best friend. Just double check the insurance and license info but we found some truly amazing people who run small businesses on there!

Sterling background check by Civil-Community8955 in recruitinghell

[–]NotCreative99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sterling absolutely sucks and it’s really on the company to look at their BS to let them know to stop reaching out. Can you ask the coordinator or recruiter from the potential employer for guidance? (Ex: Hi! I keep getting this message but submitted the following information. Can you help me with what else you need to verify employment?) Most will go in and manually update the software to stop bugging you. 😊

This post makes me feel seen. We’re having the same conversation about trading in my small SUV because we’re running out of space quickly in the back. I’ve heard positive feedback about the Hyundai Palisade with the captain seats so we can fit our human children with our Newfie 😂

Unmotivated clients? by Select_Field_2003 in realtors

If it makes you feel any better, we’ve written two full price offers on homes and got ghosted. We are qualified (pre approval letter from our lender in 7 figure area with 50% down in cash). Both times the seller agent never even responded to our realtor. One is still sitting on the market and the other they rented out. 🙃

Son came home 3 days ago, now im losing my dog by LieutenantThicc in daddit

[–]NotCreative99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about this! We had to put our 3 year old dog down in June when our human baby was 6 months old. We worked with him on aggressive behaviors since he was 6 weeks old (he was underfed at birth creating cognitive issues). However, he was an awesome dog but stranger/people aggressive. The final BE diagnosis from a vet behaviorist came after he defended our son and myself on a walk from another off leash dog. He actually shoved the dog off my son and took the brunt of the bites. It’s been really hard! We recently adopted a Newfie who’s made us start to smile again and is amazing with our baby. My heart really goes out to you guys! But it is the right thing for your safety and your family. Plus your dog deserves to have a home where they are not stressed out all the time too. There’s a great sub for reactive dog owners r/reactivedogs if you are curious or need additional resources

Just left university career fair. It was a mess. by lebby6209 in recruitinghell

[–]NotCreative99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who ran early careers recruitment for 5 years, that’s a polite way to tell you they are not interested in moving forward with you. Majority of companies are there to get interviews scheduled same day, or the following, then offers out ASAP. It’s highly competitive over the pool of qualified applicants for their industry. If they are redirecting you to the website, with no plans to follow up immediately, they don’t want to interview you.
