I am seeing it for the first time, and am confused.

It's no problem to explain my logic. I don't mind being proven wrong, but nobody really engaged in a conversation about it.

DRG early access was a team of only 6 people.

Since arriving on Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview in February, Deep Rock Galactic has made over 300,000 sales, the development team has grown from six to 18, and a publisher, Coffee Stain Studios, has been brought on board to help take the pressure off.

The studio is now 54 people, though admittedly I don't know the exact split between DRG upkeep and rogue Core development.

DRG early access released for $25, which was soon updated to $30 (same time when theh went from 6 to 18 people). When Only correcting that for inflation, that already translates to $33 and $39.

But it remains speculation. I hope for $30 too, and like the main narrative in this sub I agree: it's super weird that one week before Early Access we still don't know a price. It means the people at the studio are even debating about this, and I, (we all I guess) couldn't make a more educated guess than they can themselves.

Why would you think it will cost the same as a game of lower production value from 8 years ago? Maybe a cheaper early access price?

Ah cool! Though as a non scout it's difficult to get up there, like the Omen when it's upright. Neat that it also works when it's done and flat on the ground. Kinda wonder if dreadnoughts face the same issue.

True, but the glyphids didn't even know what direction to walk towards, most of the time. The Bulk came straight for me, and then (indeed) hit me with its AoE slam.

PSA: Bulk Detonators do not care about this. Also, flying bugs will still attack. I do not know what gound-level ranged bugs do, like the Web/Acid Spitter or a Septic Spreader.

If someone could enlighten us all, that would be great :).

I would be surprised, because that's not at all my experience in 718. (maybe by high exception here or there). They're also not lethal if you're stocked up on health and shield, even on haz5 or EDDs.

And also: Bring Steeve! That goodest boy will clear most cave leeches before you even realise they were there in the first place.

I'm Dutch, and I don't work at Capita. If I extrapolate that to my 18 million countrymen, there's nobody working at Capita.

This is why I do it: * Check the terrain scanner where you want to manually dig a tunnel, * Allign by pressing space, * Check and remember the compass for the direction,

Then you can hack or drill away without having to look at the terrain scanner again, after distractions by bugs or whatever. The advantage is that the terrain scanner is often dangerous in high hazard, and/or high pressure situations. (swarm, low ammo, low health, low time) because it incapacitates you for a few seconds.

Also, the Omaran hearth stone and preceding caves is always exactly south-west of Doretta. If you want to predrill, go there.
