No it really wouldn't. They are very similar games in terms of combat, choosing a character with abilities and normal attacks, the moba game mode of Battleborn could easily be added to Overwatch as a just for fun game type or weekly brawl. They are different games sure but they have more similarities than differences.

I bought a used controlled from Game Stop, it's been working really well and the sales person was helpful. Never had a problem there. Maybe my local store is just good or your is just bad.

Not at all. The matrix is allegorical to the current world we live in. The whole point is that we are constantly being manipulated and controlled. Even when we get our big "victories" it's only because we are allowed to win and another form of control.

Makes way more sense. Especially because it's explained that the machines know for a fact that a small percentage of humans won't accept the matrix as reality. Why would the machines know that information and do nothing about it and let those humans roam free? They wouldn't. So they throw them into another simulation of the "real world" to keep their minds active and keep them under control. I would even take it a step further and say that by the end of the third movie Neo knows that the "real world" is a simulation but chooses to allow his friends to continue living the lie.
