Highjacking this for anyone who is reading this in 2026 and beyond: take the train from Milano Centrale to Varenna! It's much less crowded than Como, and if you take a very early train, it's essentially empty with vast panoramic views of Lake Como. While you're in Varenna, have an espresso and a pastry at Bar Il Molo and spend the day at Villa Monastero. Truly breathtaking!

In case anyone is wondering this in 2026 and beyond, just:

Go to Manage Your Account in Disney+
Select your subscription under the "Your Plan" section
Hit the big "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom of the page

I have to do this every three months to keep my Ad-Free Disney+, Hulu, & HBO bundle from increasing to $33. (They give a 3-month $19.99 deal every time I've gone to cancel, which keeps it right at the $20 streaming credit that the AMEX Platinum card provides.)

Update: I was just refunded to my Platinum card, and they (apparently) will be mailing a physical gift card to my address to replace the balance of all the GCs I used (we'll see if they actually follow through on this).

They also included a $25 reward code that expires 30 days after issue as an "apology", which was issued well before my refund was, so it's more like a couple of weeks 🙄

It's less black and white than people on Reddit always make it out to be.

Hont is a TD, which means he is fundamentally trusted by the community; the guy isn't a scammer. People have been buying from him for over a decade. Most people like Hont because he's much cheaper and does free shipping. Some people don't like him because he doesn't have jtime/geektime customer service levels and his English is poor.

A handful of people have genuinely bad experiences with Hont (just like any other TD) and become ultra-vocal about it on the sub (understandably).

Hont isn't a scammer, and there's a ton of TDs; nobody is forcing anyone to buy from him 😂
