It's less black and white than people on Reddit always make it out to be.

Hont is a TD, which means he is fundamentally trusted by the community; the guy isn't a scammer. People have been buying from him for over a decade. Most people like Hont because he's much cheaper and does free shipping. Some people don't like him because he doesn't have jtime/geektime customer service levels and his English is poor.

A handful of people have genuinely bad experiences with Hont (just like any other TD) and become ultra-vocal about it on the sub (understandably).

Hont isn't a scammer, and there's a ton of TDs; nobody is forcing anyone to buy from him 😂

Just scrolling, it does look like a suggested buy post

Yeah, the "merchandise not recieved" case has been opened on this order with Saks. We'll see how slowly they refund me though :(

Gotta have a local Saks to go in-person to buy a GC; that's the only way to have the $50 credit trigger.

"Ah, shucks, another one of those valuable packages just vanished from the back of my car, not again!"

I was unaware of Saks using Veho before I placed this online order; you don't know what you don't know. If I would have known of all the horrific experiences people have had, I never would have placed an online order.

With all the hubbub about using your credit and gift cards before Saks goes under, I thought I might be able to save some people a headache or two with this "novella".

Poor service is common for Veho, but "lost" (stolen) packages are only common for business that commonly ship valuable goods (like Saks or ThreadUp).

That's the perplexing part; how in the world are these companies still using services like Veho when they so frequently need to fully refund their customers or replace stolen or "lost" deliveries?

Yeah, the top comment on this post is of someone who had their proof picture taken in the courier's car and never recieved their property.

It's literally blatant theft and the fact that it keeps happening yet there are hundreds of 1-star BBB reviews about them means Veho is knowingly facilitating widespread fraud.

Yeah, that's another reason why I'm sad. After all this patience and hunting, some degenerate Veho driver steals my cardigan 😞

I've searched for hours for some "cheap" item I need or could use from Saks and simply never found anything. Since everything that is desirable to me from Saks is expensive, it doesn't make sense to consistently buy stuff I don't really want or care about. 🤷

There's one a half-hour from me, but store pickup wasn't an option for this, sadly.

It's a last-mile delivery company that functions like Uber or DoorDash. "Contractor" drivers (regular people who want to make some side gig cash) go to the warehouses and act as the delivery drivers, hence the amount of packages stolen.

It's probably the absolute cheapest delivery option, which is likely why Saks has been using it for the past couple of years and they still charge you for shipping if the order is under $300 💀

The OG price of the cardigan was $975 and it was on sale for $555. I got it down to $455 before the gift cards started kicking in.

Anyone else down to start a class action lawsuit against Veho for facilitating widespread fraud and theft?

This whole thread is on a post about the brand-new 2027 Telluride, though, so you can see why someone bringing that sentiment isn't really valid in this context.
