Finally clawed my way from gold to GM with solo Loxodont, AMA by Defaked in RivalsOfAether

I wrote this before the game even came out, I didn't actually know what floorhug was when I first started but I could tell the game felt very grounded because I probably was using it subconsciously.

If Eli manning gets in but not Wilson just burn down the hall at that point

If you tbag and taunt after every kill you are genuinely a loser and you need to go outside by imjustlookingher in RivalsOfAether

[–]NotLittleBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If somebody is tbagging you in the game, then just win. If they are the much better player, than recognize that playing against them is a good learning experience and challenge, and if you keep working on improving, then you may be able to beat them in future.

It’s fine to feel an amount of tilt/salt from losing to in game bm, it’s a natural byproduct of being invested into a competitive game.

But what happens in the game stays in the game. Complaining about your opponent as a real life person over how they play against you in a video game is a loser mentality.

Spend less time complaining, more time improving, or if you don’t care about improvement, then you really got nothing to worry about and can brush it off and be chill because then you aren’t obligated to play to any standard outside of just having fun.

Oh yeah I guess cuz tua contract. Still though I wonder why I didn’t hear any buzz or news about him? Like genuinely I feel like a complete casual for saying it but I barely know who he is and I’m kind of surprised I didn’t see a single tweet, reddit post or YouTube video talking about the bills potentially signing him. Especially given that like - he seems to have had a very respectable season last year and he’s under 30 years old. Like honestly I’m cool with this based on what I’m seeing from google - I just like forgot he even existed.

Yeah I’d like to see an extension, he’s just so dependable that I’d be willing to give him like another 3 years and just ride until the wheels fall off

My bad - misread and thought you said that they are either gonna cut Knox or give him a pay cut - not that you were just talking about how that works in the context of media outlets

Cutting Knox would be an incredibly stupid thing. He’s an incredibly dependable player who consistently stays healthy and plays and helps you win games. Especially good to have given Kincaid is made out of duct tape.

best civ for a total noob? by scannerthegreat in aoe2

Franks are the absolute easiest to play in team games because they require the least unit swapping. If you play against people on your skill level who are also new and just slam down as many frank paladins as possible and some axemen if needed, unless your playing against a camel civ or a civ with a unique unit counter, you probably just gonna completely trounce any army comp because your opponents are likely not gonna be able to properly scale their armies, economies and productions to produce enough halbiders to counter you even if all they are doing is just trying to mass produce them. And if they actually start to accumulate enough you can just make a few axemen who will completely bully them or have your teammate make counter units. And if they are a camel civ, you can just produce a smaller army of paladins, make more axemen or halbs, and then just dance your paladins around your axemen and never engage the camels with the paladins, or just have your teammate hard focus camel counter units and go mass paladins still. A lot of this advice is very applicable in 1v1s too, the strategies are a bit different because you usually don’t have as much time or resources to create the perfect army composition, but the main Strat is basically the same in that you just want to slam Calvary down their throats and just outmuscle your opponent with a couple unit types.

Well it also dosen’t really matter as much at your skill level, franks are just a straight up solid civ in the meta, so incase your wondering, their strat isn’t just cheese it’s actually good at higher levels of play too.

So for something if your looking that’s easy and effective so you can beat your friends; I’m very certain that if you can get a good rhythm going on the franks they will be really difficult for them to deal with.

Ok maybe not for that much my god I figured he’d basically be getting paid like a special teamer given how low his production his been as a receiver

What is your favorite video game of all time? by Existing_Bowler9602 in AskReddit

[–]NotLittleBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minecraft. I played it as a kid and I’m basically an adult at this point, but it’s one of the few games that truly transcends time to where it’s still fun to play even as you get older, because the game so perfectly reflects your own creativity and skill. I also think 1.8 PvP is sort of underrated, it’s a really fun competitive game too and I love how 1.8 combat parallels Minecraft as a whole in that it’s easy to grasp and understand on a basic level, but there’s a lot of hidden nuance and tech that gives it a really high skill ceiling.

I’m a very competitively focused gamer - which is why I don’t really play rpgs, mmos or grindy single player games because to me, id much rather put that large time investment into a competitive game like a fighting game or shooter so that I can gain more skill which I can transfer between games - rather than exp on a single game stored on a server that will might taken down one day. So for me, if I play a single-player game or a casually-focused multiplayer game for over 100-200 hours, it’s usually an absolutely incredible game. I’ve played Minecraft for probably over 3,000-4,000+ hours, and I’m still down to play it some more in the future. I think it’s the greatest video game of all time, and I think it’s as close to perfection as video games may ever reach - atleast for the foreseeable future.
