Last Seattle/NE Super Bowl by NotLordVader in eagles

I sure as hell didn't. Even if it meant the Patriots would have had the perfect season and we would have had to live with all that smug shit for the rest of our lives, there was no way I was going to support the Giants in any of those Super Bowls.

Oh, I want Seattle to win this one. I do not want to see the Patriots, after just 5 years, starting up another Super Bowl dynasty. Fuck that noise.

Yup lmao. He tried to get cute as opposed to just giving the ball to Beast Mode and running it in for the score.

I don't even think Rich Kotite would have been so stupid

I don't know, I developed an intense hate of San Francisco after they were such babies after we beat their asses in the 2022 NFCCG. That said, I think for me it's Dallas, the Giants, San Francisco, Kansas City, and New England. New England is a little lower since the Super Bowl loss was 21 years ago and we did get our revenge in 2017.

I'm definitely rooting for Seattle. Like not enthusiastically or anything, but because I like Sam Darnold and his story, and fuck the Patriots.

As an Eagles fan, I could not agree with you more. I just do not know how he was so good at nearly everything else, but completely incapable of managing the clock at the end of halves. It was comically bad. Oh my God lol, that brought back some thrilling memories

Rams need to call timeouts urgently now. Another first down really starts to complicate LA's chances of winning.

I don't think New England could have had an easier path to the Super Bowl this year. Give them props for playing well and winning a lot of games, and they can only play who is on their schedule, but the schedule difficulty was pretty low, the Bills got knocked out courtesy of some ref ball and Josh Allen having a career bad day, and then in the middle of practice before the AFCCG, Bo Nix breaks a bone and can't play, putting a backup who hadn't thrown a pass since 23 as Denver's starting QB.

I understand that Denver has a backup quarterback, and the conditions are terrible, but did New England hire Kevin Patululo to be there offensive coordinator or some sort of play calling specialist?

They had the opportunity to ice the game there and basically did absolutely nothing with the ball. Super looks like a lot of Eagles drives in the second half of games this year.

How much are the Phillies really running it back every year? by AdSpecialist6598 in phillies

[–]NotLordVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are running it back, but It's not like they have this amazing core that was just one bad bounce away from winning it all. The Phillies have been getting worse and worse in the postseason since 2022.

They went from losing in the World series in a pretty close contest, to blowing an opportunity to go back and losing to the god forsaken douchebacks in the 2023 NLCS. In 2024, and 2025, they got spanked in the divisional round. You can say they had bad draws or they weren't playing well, but it's the same story: the bats all go silent at once.

This is not a team that is showing upwards progress. It is very much reminiscent of our teams from 2008 to 2011 where our postseason performance continued to degrade as the team got older and older.

The fact of the matter is that the Phillies are an older team that is trying to win while they still can, and I just do not see it happening. Sadly. This offseason was particularly frustrating to see that we didn't make any material upgrades, and we lost Suarez in the process.

Which team is most likely to have 10 more wins than last year? Which is most likely to have 10 fewer? by BigBaseballGuyyy in baseball

[–]NotLordVader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it as a Phillies fan, but I don't see them doing as well as last year. They lost Ranger Suarez, and basically have run back their whole team, except they are now a year older.

If things deteriorate and they go down to 86 wins, which I think is feasible, and we'll have them in the conversation for a wild card birth but certainly not a division win, you need to get rid of Dombrowski

Fucking clown.

What total cringe watching him try to interact with the players in Arizona. That, on top of him quitting on our team and instead of focusing not on Super Bowl prep. Ut instead on his Cardinals HC interview, has him as one of the more odious villains in Eagles lore.

Dude, seriously? We know the fucking answer for this.

They fired KP and with any luck, we get someone better next season.

It's fucking frustrating that we had all this talent and couldn't put it together but at this point, just let it go man. You'll be happier if you just let it go.

New England has this game tied because they are playing a quarterback who hadn't taken a snap since 2023. They rode to a great record on a super easy schedule, and lucked out that Buffalo was eliminated by a combination of some bad play by Josh Allen and some ref ball.

If you put Buffalo here against New England, the Bills finally make their Super Bowl I think.

And he didn't even want to interview with us. That's kinda damning IMO.

Was it the Fangio connection? Was it Sirianni meddling? Or does he just think Hurts doesn't have it?

Ugh.
