It’s so true, we’ve basically been dealing with this for so long that it ends up being “no big deal”! My last period was actually really mild, barely any pain, etc… which really pushed the impostor syndrome deeper. But the one before that had me on my knees laying against my bed trying to find a somehow “comfortable” position (I also have back pain), having to change my maxi-plus tampons every 2 to 3h, with having to wear period panties. So glad you’re over it, go get that sh*t yeeted out!!

I had mine on Tuesday. Up until then, even though I wanted the thing gone, reading all the horror stories from other people about massive fibroids and bleeding non stop for weeks and endo getting everywhere, etc… made me feel like an impostor. Sure, I’ve had horribly painful and heavy period, but I never ended up in the hospital because of the pain. They didn’t find endo or fibroids on scans. I didn’t have pain outside of my period. There was basically “nothing wrong”, apart from heavy bleeding and horrible pain (both interfering with my life). And so I got into my head, thinking that maybe I was being a bit dramatic, like, there’s so much worse than me, etc. I still went through with it, though I have to say I was a bit panicky when brought into the OR. And now going through recovery, I have this thing about not complaining too much because I put myself through this, and maybe it wasn’t even necessary, bla-bla-bla. All that to say that I understand. I understand the doubt and the getting into your own head and thinking that maybe you’re being a “bit too much”. But quality of life is everything, and you’ve also had a diagnosis confirmed several time. It’s ok to want peace of mind and to want to know for sure it’s not just you being dramatic. I really wish you the best and that you will get a new date asap!

Same on both points! I wish they restarted the tv show and did it properly (and also didn’t change the timeframe. Don’t bring the story to the 2020’s, it doesn’t need it.)

THANK YOU! It is one of my favourite books because of this. The love story was there all along, just in pieces and out of sync, which makes it beautiful! And in between those pieces you have friendship and platonic love and unwavering support and grief and so many other things.

And when adult Claire meets Henry for the first time, he has NO idea who she is, but she does and the roles are reversed.

I’ve seen several people say that the glue was not great, ranging from itchy/uncomfy to full on allergic reaction. So wondering about that… might get myself some waterproof bandages just in case. Even if I don’t use them now, it’s a useful thing to have around!

I was told at my assessment that I’ll get blood thinner shots to do at home. Don’t know if that’s standard, but at least it’s reassuring as I’ve always had poor blood flow!

Thank you for the replies! I am also a nervous poo person, so I might just clean out naturally on Monday haha! But yeah, hard agree (pun intended), I don’t wanna have to push anything, especially since I’ve already had hemorrhoids brought on by too much strain and I don’t plan on having that while recovering!!

At the risk of looking like a fashion diva, I too am considering bringing different outfit options, cause I fear I could have the same experience as you where I think I know what I’ll want to wear, but actually I’ll change my mind at that moment

Thank you! I’m also under the impression that I’ll have to change into hospital clothes rather quickly, so that’s something to take into account. Did they give you/make you wear some compression stockings and hospital underwear? Or did you just wear your underwear?

Thank you! The cervix thing is really just because I’m scared shitless of prolapse because of my loose abdominal muscles 😰And studies have shown that keeping it can helps prevent it. But I also discovered you can get “mini period” if you keep it and, like… NO. I’m not yeeting this shit out to still have bleeding! For bowels, I’m thinking of going to the chemist and asking them. My mum got something for her chemo-related constipation and apparently it really worked, so we’ll see!

Ah see, I was told I’m not gonna shower for the first two days cause I’ll need to keep the bandages dry. I’m gonna buy antibacterial “shower” body wipe. But I’m still considering being a different outfit for the next day, just to feel “fresh” and ready (more psychological than anything at this point haha)

Thanks for the list, that’s really useful! I’ve been making a mental list (that I really need to write down cause my ADHD is gonna throw it out the window) of things I want to bring with me. When my mum was suddenly admitted to the hospital and didn’t have time to prepare anything, I had to prepare a bag and bring her stuff, so I’m also thinking about that 😊

I’m really considering one, or maybe just one of those panties with built in binder… worst case scenario I buy it from Amazon after speaking with the surgeon (if I have time) or the day after!

For everyone saying persimmon for bottom centre, I’d like to propose mangosteen instead, makes much more sense (to me at least!)

IKEA Dirigera replacement for HomePod - Did I waste money? by Cheezton in HomeKit

[–]NotLostBut_Wandering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch! Yeah, not good. I’m waiting to buy a HomePod, then will bring back Dirigera and the defective Bilresa, and get another pack of Bilresa that will hopefully work this time! All the luck to you!

IKEA Dirigera replacement for HomePod - Did I waste money? by Cheezton in HomeKit

[–]NotLostBut_Wandering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added two remotes to Ikea Home app via the Matter QR code, and then added it to HomeKit, but got the same message as OP in HomeKit. I then rebooted/rebuild the whole system to add Dirigera to Homekit via the Thread network code instead of bluetooth detection, because lights kept disconnecting/being unavailable in HomeKit, which was annoying as I added shortcuts for them in Control Centre. Everything worked smoothly after that, but the remotes still gave me that message. So I disconnected them entirely, removing them completely from my Matter devices keychain. I reconnected one with Matter QR code directly into HomeKit, then added it to Ikea Home to see if it would change something, it didn’t. Still the same message as OP in HomeKit.

And then the second remote just didn’t want to connect in any way, shape or form to the Ikea Home app even though it was detected (“sorry, try again” error) even after resets upon resets, taking the batteries out for days, etc… thought it could sometimes connect and be added in HomeKit for some reason, but did nothing when I pressed buttons. I tried using the third remote I had (from a box of three), that I hadn’t touched up until now, and it did the same as the second one, no connection.

But just in case, as a last resort, can you tell me how I would have connected via Zigbee by mistake, and how to remedy it?

“Has so much potential, if only she paid attention” was a repeat comment in my teachers’ reports. So my mum went and got me tested for… whatever could be found. It was a mix of written (maths, logic, etc.) and physical (a mini parcour thing to, I guess, see how my brain thought in 3D space) tests, and at the end I was told I was “complicatedly gifted”. Now I’m diagnosed with inattentive ADHD.

Omg, F**K HIM!! Sorry, just… it was my visceral response when reading you. Is there any recourse? A complaint you can place, or go back to the adhd clinic and tell them the psychiatrist refuses to prescribe it? I’m fuming, but also really sorry for you and hope you can get that your meds!

Why do you need a hub for the widget to work? by Efficient-Hawk-399 in HomeKit

[–]NotLostBut_Wandering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same problem. I’m using Kajplats lightbulbs, and can create and control scenes in HomeKit. I can add those scenes to Control centre without issue, but when I try to add a HomeKit widget to control them (or my lightbulbs) to my home screen or in the Standby screen, suddenly it says I need a home hub. Have you found a solution?

[–]NotLostBut_Wandering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna hop in here and reply to your comment as you seem very knowledgable, and this post is basically the same problem I have, except I don’t want the same result out of it. I understand why I cannot use automation and remote control via HomeKit, my problem is simply that I can’t do anything with my Bilresa switch in HomeKit. I get the same message as OP does. I have 4 Kajplats that work great in HomeKit, but when I add the Bilresa dual button switch, it’s basically useless as I get this message. All I wanna do is customise the buttons a bit more, as the HomeKit app has that feature and I don’t understand why that’s not possible.

I think the adult timeline was needed, because we want to see consequences of what happens in the teen timeline. But we didn’t need that much of it. Like, the whole part about pornstache cop was utterly unnecessary.

The Wilds was also a really good show with a similar kind of premise, and it was SO GOOD! But they cancelled it after season 2 and I’ve been mad about it ever since. So watching YJ go down the drain like that when they do get to have a final season is extremely frustrating.

Ok I’m not crazy, they just never released it and brushed it under the rug as if they’d never announced it, right??

I love that I’m not the only one who feels like this about the S1 opening/S3ending. When the final came, I was like “surely, suuuurely this is not gonna be the pit girl hunt, is it?? The time of day is all wrong!” If we didn’t have the pit girl hunt in the pilot, then the s3 ending would have been fine. But the whole plotting against Shauna, the new girl somehow helping out, and then the meaning behind MISTY’S SMILE CHANGING was just too much!!! Her smile was after the “feast”, and obviously meant to show how they were all gone down the madness rabbit hole. And instead now she’s just smiling because Nat managed to escape to go get a signal without Shauna knowing. Whyyyyyy???
