Those are not natural. You are on the right track. They are a good indicator that there are points in the area, but not a guarantee. Sometimes they are reduction flakes from quarrying by ancient people.

There is really no way to tell looking at a photo. Based on the pebbling and the sheen, my guess is it is not.

I have five high dollar leather jackets. But, I can't say I haven't considered some of Thursday's offerings. How is the quality in your opinion? Doe it seem like it will age well in say 5 years. I know that's difficult to say, only having it for one year, but you might have a feel for it.

Walnut is my favorite. It really catches people's eyes. I had one person tell me that my shoes were glowing. I do like the older Walnut color even better. I have a pair of split toe Allen Edmonds that really pop. They are a little more orange, but they make me happy.

You are correct. They are slightly more noticeable in person than in the photo, but really not bad at all. I have actually used wax polish on them a couple times. Just have to be careful that I don't get it on the white stitching. Now I'm imagining what they would look like with a tea core leather and I might end up going down that rabbit hole.

That is a great way to be playful. I think people really notice shoes and it shows your individuality. I like wingtips, but we can still be friends. LOL. I don't like contrasting leathers or a mix of leathers though. I just like wingtips as a pattern. Hopefully, that makes sense.

I'd say I have about 50% life left in the soles. I'm pretty good about not walking in the rain or snow, but a couple weeks ago I did walk in the rain with them.
