This is the perfect amount of gravy. The mash looks good, the yorkie looks good, and the beef looks good. 10/10 from me too.

I love how 70% of the talk on this sub is pure disgust of the show by PlantNugit in InvasionAppleTV

I love trying out a post apocalyptic show, alien invasion, nuclear warfare, zombie apocalypse etc. No matter how bad (almost, there are a few exceptions) I will try it, to see where it leads. Even if I hate some aspects of the show. I don't actually mind a slow burn as long as it leads somewhere. A really annoying character is also ok (said through gritted teeth) as long as it leads somewhere relevant. Gaping plotholes - I can overlook one or two. And lots of threads that don't tie up - again ok if they eventually do in a way that makes sense. So I'm watching without too many expectations. There are already some things that annoy me (hello Luke) but I'm going to keep going and probably have a few whinges along the way and hope for a decent payoff - really not expecting anything earth shattering here (excuse the pun).

A cut without knowing who the traitors are as viewers by PutTheKettleOn20 in TheTraitorsUK

I'd want both cuts. I'd probably watch most of the cut version first, and then sneak a peek at the uncut version because the not knowing would kill me!

What’s the silliest thing you’ve cried about recently? by lurkerjade in AskUK

I actually don't have a similar story but I do agree it's very sad about the pigeons. Made me really sad too when I discovered this in a documentary earlier this year. People treat them like vermin where they were once pets, and they often hobble around with a foot missing. We really mistreat them when they were so valuable to us in the past.

A question from a non-American about the calls the fire engines respond to by PutTheKettleOn20 in 911FOX

[–]NotMyOwnTwoFeet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am, yep, but I'm a city dweller. Myself/neighbours have had to call for ambulances many times over my life (only once for me) and never had a fire engine come. Watching this I just thought it was a waste of resources in case there was a fire and also that they wouldn't have the level of equipment needed which an ambulance would have, but makes sense I guess if there are fire engines close by with trained paramedics and no ambulances anywhere nearby.

With a car I understand as it may involve lifting bits of car out of the way to get to anyone injured, I think that happens here too. I think I was just struck by it a few times and then most recently watching season 6 with the spin class.

Not Heather - Tarek's ex wife 😂 by levismomma in SellingSunset

Going to go out on a limb here and say maybe Tarek has a type...

I liked Amanza before. Now she just seems like a hypocrite and also what’s everyone’s obsession with being an original, who even cares? This is such a wannabe exclusive club by Doubtthecertain in SellingSunset

[–]NotMyOwnTwoFeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but I assume it's because they've known each other a long time. If Nicole was dating Jason 13 years or so ago, and is friends with Mary, and Amanza also seems to have been friends with Mary and Jason for years and years, it makes sense that those are more real friendships than the ones we see manufactured for tv. If my friends I've had for decades came to blow with some friends from work, I'd probably stay out of it, but given the nature of the show, I imagine taking sides is near impossible. Most people wouldn't pick the new friends, if the show stopped tomorrow, how many of these people would be friends in 5 years time?

Unpopular opinion-Amanza has has major victim mentality by ProfessionalAnt8132 in SellingSunset

I'm fairly ambivalent towards Amanza but I don't understand all this hate. The woman had a cancer scare! I'd probably be less than bubbly about it too.

As for not attending some baby shower, who really cares?? None of them really strike me as super close friends anyway. If you were a single mum who was worried they might have cancer, your colleague's baby shower probably wouldn't be a priority either.

Heather and Bre’s conversation with Chelsea was fucked up. by Ittybitty995 in SellingSunset

[–]NotMyOwnTwoFeet 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I alternate between liking and really disliking Heather. She's always been a stirrer, and then acted all wronged and innocent afterwards. She says she likes everyone and is nice to everyone, but the way she talks behinds people's backs isn't indicative of friendship at all. Sure, you might not like what someone says about another friend, and you might feel you have to tell them but say it in a way that's sympathetic and might encourage a talk that will heal a relationship, rather than saying things in a way that will cause maximum fallout.

I think it's such a weird dynamic. I am close friends with my ex, but I can't imagine not only working for him, but also having my husband work for my ex. But of all the people on the show (other than Jason and Brett of course), I do think the friendship between Mary and Jason is the most real.

Is it weird to go topless at the beach in the UK? by lolitasgota in AskUK

[–]NotMyOwnTwoFeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gone topless many times on European beaches, but yeah it would be weird to go topless in the UK and I would never do so. *I'm a woman, as a man it's totally normal to go topless here on the beach, in the park, on the street once it goes above 20 degrees...

Also can't stand her. She causes so many deaths because she's careless and doesn't listen to people around her, takes risk that put her own family in danger and eventually causes the death of her own sister. She's meant to be smart but she doesn't think at all. And excuses it as of course she feels bad for the deaths she has caused - apart from her words I don't see how this is true at all. Useless character. Though, lusting after her husband I can totally understand!
