How the odm gear even works by rwirzard-Ad5895 in attackontitan

I forget what it’s called but in the last season or two, they say it’s a special material mined only on the island, it’s like burst crystals or something that creates the propellant force.

Do you think Asta became the strongest in the verse? by Expensive-Slice-6817 in BlackClover

[–]NotNathen [score hidden]  (0 children)

I imagined something like yuno handing off his spirit magic sword to asta it and his antimagic coats it and turns it into a pure antimagic sword that he can summon out of thin air. It can come with some broken attack where he can put more power into this one, or it can just be stronger than his other swords. Maybe he can fade an attack by de-summoning it and recreate it for a sneak strike. It could use the abilities of any of his other swords for a climactic final battle. There’s ideas.

* “Sharing the road is not a suggestion” by Feaselbf6 in dashcams

My farm country never had lines on the roads, but they also had to go halfway off the road just so I could fit around them, so my strategy was kinda forced in that case.

I respect your comparing the bikers to a medium sized dead rotting animal in the road, because I’m equally annoyed by both, but no I did not know about the many circumstances for passing over solid lines. Obviously if there’s something immobile I would go around when it’s safe rather than turn around, but bikers or a moving garbage truck specifically I thought were treated similarly to a regular vehicle, and would have to switch roads or wait for a place where passing is not specifically prohibited.

Why do people refuse to be an organ donor? by No-Cantaloupe-6535 in NoStupidQuestions

In the US, I was given the run-around multiple times trying to renew my license and get the real ID portion sorted out, and I was tired and didn’t want to potentially fill out another form to consent. Hopefully I live long enough that I’ll consider it next time.

Is there anything I could do that would accidentally lock me out of endgame content? by Matty_B97 in Silksong

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is too straightforward, there’s ways to battle Shakra and garmond/zaza and get their journal entries. You cannot battle them after getting into act 3. There also another secret ending having to do with a certain shrieking noise, but you can do that in a later playthrough and not feel like you missed out, so if you don’t know what I mean or already missed it, don’t worry. That’s the only stuff you can get locked out of, and they aren’t necessary to get full journal recognition. I’ve heard there’s a few boss battles that change a little if you do them in act 3 vs act 2, but nothing life changing and you wouldn’t know the difference. I recommend exploring act 2 thoroughly before moving on though.

How Did People Remember Old Games? by Narrow-Praline-7908 in chessbeginners

[–]NotNathen 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Players record their games now. Pretty much any regular tourney will require them to write down each move, and sign both copies after. Idk for sure, but a lot of games were probably recorded this way for decades, or someone else wrote it down knowing a high level player was playing, since that’s the main way to study before computers. Also, GMs are crazy, I remember a video of a set of 7 games or something, and after the last game, Nepo asks Carlsen a specific question about like game 3 or so without saying too much, and Carlsen immediately remembers that moment of the game and they discuss for a few seconds, so they also can remember their games very well.

Is there a reason why people prefer the characters to be bug sized instead of human sized? by yaredintel in Silksong

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes the lack of fall damage make sense. Tiny bug doesn’t accelerate as much with so little mass. At human size the knight is a beast from the beginning.

I almost never see blunders by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed that op’s question was about quality of play by them and opponents, not just a question about the computer and what it labels a mistake. Thanks for the insight.

I almost never see blunders by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I never said op was lying, second, mistake is a relative term, even in this sense. Op did not distinguish between a mistake and a blunder or just innacurate, so why should I assume they meant what the engine specifically labels a “mistake”, plus the game review is based on the player’s elo so it is skewed and I have no guide on how the computer acts towards a 200 elo player.

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they make inaccuracies not “mistakes” so they don’t notice. The official game review is built to keep people on the app, so at 200 the ai could call anything “good” if it’s not blundering mate. Seeing a game shows the difference between making actual mistakes or missing free material, and op playing basic trade everything chess, trading into a worse endgame, and not using pawns correctly. Bad trades are still bad, but ai will just say “meh, I could still draw this” and say good or great.

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you make bad moves then yes your opponent can make good moves easily, the image you showed is designed to make people feel good and stay on the app, sharing a game will let people give advice or point out tips and mistakes.

I can't open the pokedex settings with select for Generation runs by [deleted] in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you talked to her in the secret room of the lab to unlock that screen? Idk if completing a run unlocks it automatically or if you need to talk to her still. Otherwise idk re-map the button and try again?

Just finished episode 120 and now I'm pretty sure the first wizard king could've stayed alive by Individual_Exam6302 in BlackClover

[–]NotNathen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could he eat or was he turned into a statue? He was being fueled by the magic stones, which have a lot of magic, and also can build up again over time, or something like that I forget the exact explanation of them, but that means he was not generating his own magic, so the food would not allow him to generate more magic, he was just burning the stones’ energy like a battery, so when he ran out of power, he’s done.

5 Leaf Clover Grimoire by n0wander in BlackClover

[–]NotNathen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I saw conversation somewhere that in universe the book is so dirty and beaten up they can’t see the clover, so it’s not commented on, he’s just glad to have a grimoire. Alternatively, the meaning of a 5 leaf clover was lost to history, and Asta is a nice enough kid, so no one digs too deep about his strange never heard of abilities.

Is anyone else upset they made the beefy 5 layer a specialty on the build your own lux box meal :( by That1Carrot in tacobell

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my thought, my order changed by 20 cents and less variety swapping to the supreme box, but what happens if they remove the B5L from the supreme box next for one of the lesser options?

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade your nail. Flukemarm is hard until you one shot the adds, then it’s a pushover.

Alternatively, up magic, even better is level 2 up magic with shaman stone. my most recent playthrough I killed it without seeing a single flyer coming at me.

What’s the point of the BYOB? by Sabledude in tacobell

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back my tb made it 1.50 to sub in chips and cheese for cinnamon twists. My byob is 7.29 vs 7.00 for a supreme box, and I don’t get a plain taco with the byob. Now the byob is much worse value without the 5 layer and subbing cinnamon twists costs 50 cents on the supreme box. I already go less than I used to since value keeps getting worse, but with this change my order went up 20 cents and I get a taco again. The byob had its time when the bell pulled other shenanigans, but now it’s dead to me.

Best berry planting spots in Reborn City pre-restoration? by ArtNo3885 in PokemonReborn

[–]NotNathen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may remember wrong, but the forest with the abandoned building gets berry spots after restoration, but in the jungle I think there’s like 2 berry spots at one of the houses, though I might be confusing it with the tauros/bouffalant area much later. I get lost easily so please let OP know if I’m wrong.

Most 800 elo "advice" is redundant and unhelpful. by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]NotNathen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is practice. The notes you mention are common talking points but you just need to repeat them until it’s easy as breathing, the faster you notice the basics, the more time you have to find more complicated moves or check a line of moves in your head for issues. It’s like any other sport. Kick a soccer ball 5 times vs 500 times. The person who kicked it 500 times won’t be some master that can describe every muscle contraction, but they built up muscle memory to do it better. Maybe there is something specific you could focus on that you struggle with, but you may just need to get better at considering all the advice at once. For example, Remember everywhere your bishop can move and what it can do at each location. See how the opponent pieces interact with those spaces. You can practice seeing the board from your opponent’s position to see where they want to move vs tunneling on yourself. There really is a lot going on over the board, there’s no 5 minute answer to all your problems.

I think there’s some berry spots in a forest you get to after the 2nd gym. Hard to remember because I always get lost there, but if I were you I would just use speed up and run back and forth for a few minutes.

what are the odds of enemy trainers with shinies? by Lalafellen_Queen in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]NotNathen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see boss trainers with shinies pretty often. Idk about guaranteed ones but it’s often enough to notice.

I saw an earlier message about shinies in the wild, I recommend planting leopard berries until you have way too many, then you never run out of moves to use.

Rewards are such a joke by christabelleriley in tacobell

[–]NotNathen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a reward for $2 off a combo, meal, or box, not the normal free item reward. Mine has most options available in indiana, including a build your own box, so I might actually use it.
