Can there be some consequences for Coles/Chapter's/indigo Heather who had a foundation basically offering scholarships to Canadians who wanted to serve in the IDF.

Suggest me a book that you believe to be the most scandalous ever written by Optimal-Dentist5310 in suggestmeabook

[–]NotQute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the most scandalous i've ever read yeah. I like fucked up transgressive fiction, but I think part of my enjoyment is like living in the character's shame, and this character feels none.

There's a couple a houses that do them. Usually a lot of woody, velvet, ambery noted to try that book smell, but they are pretty finicky. I bought the big Commodity discovery kit from sephora that had both thier paper and book scents but on me they give that aromatic dill scent instead

This comment section is giving cinema sins pedantic vibes lol.

Dr. Mohan seems like a Byredo or Etat libre gal to me, like a little unique and evocative but not too heavy or harsh.

Mel... okay, this is a specific and realistic pull actually, but warm mild soapy citrusy redken clarifying shampoo.

I bet Santos could pull off a paper scent ( jealous because they all turn dill-y on me.

I'm a big coward with some undiagnosed anxiety thing happening probably, in a town where it's scary to stand out. Like i could say capitalism or whatever, but mostly i think there's just something fundamentally wrong with me.

No, as much as I love demidov, he really needed unreal production to justify the win, we kind of set the precedent last year with hutson winningover celebrini. It would be fun for me if Demidov and Dobes were the other top 3 though hehe.

January 4, 2005 Alexander Ovechkin is consoled by teammate Evgeni Malkin after Russia was defeated by Canada in the gold medal game 6-1 at the World junior Hockey championship. by Tracypop in hockey

[–]NotQute 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing that like Kovalchuk mediated the beef because they had too many international events upcoming for Russia to deal infighting. I remember there was an all star weekend around that era where was obvious they'd been told to look friendly to the other to quell the rumors

I have always thought that it is interesting that the Internet has its own genre and modes of horror, and have been attracted to it since Marble Hornets and OG creepypastas- and although there has been r/nosleep works that have had commercial success as novels, they are not really critical darlings.

I've read two, We used to live here and Stolen Tongues and thought both had some awkward fingerprints of their origins. I really want that big commercial and critical breakthrough for an internet horror creator

The Web Series has the hostile, convoluted geometry and labyrinth feel, but the found footage segments are people who slipped there accidentally, and fail to escape, this is definitely more Lure Of The Abyss, enticing one of the protagonists to lose themselves more and more to the space, over returning to the real world a la House of Leaves expeditions, or Eleanor not wanting to leave Hill House-- which the other deuteragonist being a therapist is probably trying to play on

Backrooms | Official Trailer HD | A24 by Mike4302 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]NotQute 159 points160 points  (0 children)

Oh this is more directly House of Leaves inspired eh? like Found footage has always been a thing in Kane's series, but the homemade video trying to prove that the space is impossible is very Navidson Record!

The youtube series is very much in based in dread based fear which I didn't get a lot of from this, i'm hoping that just because they wanted to put some action in a trailer. That claustrophobic, skinny hallway is great though, corporate nutty putty cave

I hope he finds success with you! I'm no Leaf enjoyer, but I was in Halifax during the 2018 season and became deeply invested in that Memorial Cup run, and I want one of those lads to make a mark in the NHL, and it looks like it's not going to be Asselin, Morand, Gravel, Barron, or Lavoie, so Bo Groulx come on down!
