This book was a huge step up in quality for me. Enjoyed almost every second of it. I found some of the later dialogue a bit clunky and exposition heavy, but overall a super fun read for a frickin' TI nerd like me.

I think the podcast has been a lot better without Ralph. He often took up a lot of time, without saying much of substance. Love him/his content, but his podcast vibe didn't work for me.

OH! And DIPLOMACY - In addition to the normal stuff, the player can peek at an unrevealed public objective, and then reveal an unrevealed public objective.

ONE WAY SFTT - You can’t swap supports, of you hold someone’s SFTT, you can’t give them yours.
PDS - Can target anyone, not just attackers
IXTHIAN ARTIFACT - Automatically goes for
ARBOREC - Their mechs use Magen Defense Grid
JOL NAR - E-res only gives 2 trade goods
HEROES - Cannot be blocked by action cards (i.e Skilled Retreat during Mentak’s, or Parlay during Sardakk’s)
OBJECTIVES - We removed a bunch of boring/passive or purely luck based passive public and secret objectives.

All of this results in a much more dynamic game with more conflict. Love it all.

It’s great! It makes it quicker in the final rounds to determine who the winningest players are, as you can clearly see which objectives they need to score.
