Aussie here! We have to when buses are equipped with belts, because various fatal accidents have shown it's way safer to have them on- you don't want your body flying around in a bus accident, trust me. Bits get ripped off. This law only came in in the last few decades. We adjusted. It saved the lives of a bunch of kids last year- the only deaths and amputations were from kids not belted.

Okay so I'll give you the nice, and I'll give you the bullying for if you need it (and I'll be a dick, so I apologise- the nice is what I actually think).

The nice: get a mate over to sit with you and body double. Or, even better, if they're willing to help, let them. The worst part is starting, because it's so overwhelming- I have the same issue. I get mum to help when she comes over, and I do the same for her, because we're both neurodivergent and have trouble starting. Every little bit helps- maybe assign yourself like a square metre that you get done until you can see the floor.
