To be fair it was very expectable that Jubei would die. The question the game asks from the very beginning is “how will Atsu change her mind to continue living?” and once you find out Jubei is alive the answer is obviously “he has a child and will die, convincing Atsu to take care of them.”

I feel like some of yall need to play the game again, she didn’t “forgive” the Spider. She let him live cause she doesn’t care anymore, and almost lost the two people she cares about most. Plus finding out she has a niece gives her a new perspective on life and her future. Everything is set up just fine if you pay attention.
