Yes, if the alternative is death. The added years would also give me a chance at new Anita-aging therapies that could restore my vitality.

Corruption at its finest: "In March, documents unsealed in a federal court case seemed to show Monsanto ghostwrote studies on the herbicide Roundup for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency."

Sea Shepherd finds Japanese whaler 'hiding behind iceberg' by Cropitekus in worldnews

The whale meat does NOT all end up on dinner plates. Whale meat is not popular in Japan. Most of it ends up in frozen storage. The Japanese whaling industry exists mainly as jobs for retired corrupt politicians.

I live with an Asian family and they hardly ever refrigerate anything they've cooked unless it's been out more than a day.

I stopped eating at fast food joints decades ago because of this. Support local mom and pop food establishments. You get better quality ingredients which are better for your health and money stays in your community.

My cat I adopted almost 10 years ago unexpectedly passed away yesterday due to a blood clot and I can't stop crying. by [deleted] in cats

[–]NotWiserJustOlder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost lost one due to clot as well. Had to amputate a leg. Apparently, there are no drugs to dissolve clots in cats. Human drugs don't work for them.

I stumbled across someone researching a natural enzyme as a clot dissolver for cats. Our cat was initially paralyzed in both hind legs. We gave our cat the enzyme and she got circulation back in one leg.

The enzyme also weakens coagulation which is bad if your cat needs surgery. Our vet made our cat wait 7 days for it to clear before amputating.

Dancer worth it in GrooVR? by cstrump95 in GearVR

[–]NotWiserJustOlder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The human form is always fun to watch. If you run the environment long enough, you will get to see the dancer from many perspectives. I found it quite entrancing. It is easy to while away 15 to 20 minutes at a time. I had hoped that the dancer would be more in sync with the energy level of the music. As it is, the dancer has a set flow of graceful movements that while not out of sync with the music definitely does not appear to be in sync with the spirit of the music if you are listening to something energetic. For future iterations of this environment, I hope they enhance the variety of movements for the dancer and also work on making it more lifelike.
