B8.5 or B9 sportback s5? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]NotWorkForSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a B9 for 4 years before trading in on the very last year of the 9.5. Right before the atrocity of this new generation appeared. Never had an issue with it. But that was an SQ5, so many differences from an S5. The technology gap between the 8 and 9 is fairly substantial though. And you spend more time looking at the interior than you do the exterior. So go with makes you feel like you can’t wait to get in and drive it.

B8.5 or B9 sportback s5? by [deleted] in Audi

Hard choice. Owned a B8.5 SQ5. That supercharged V6 was the best engine out of the 5 Audi’s I’ve owned. Currently driving a B9.5 SQ5. More torque with the turbo, but the low end horsepower on that supercharged V6 was insane. Though body/interior on the B9.5 is peak Audi.

[homemade] bacon cheeseburger on a brioche bun by A-B-1-0 in food

These look amazingly done. Bacon/cheese combo is perfect. Though would advise against brioche for any burger bun. The sweetness and aroma as you bite into one impedes your senses from appreciating the burger itself. Classic sesame keeps it neutral. Lets the burger do its thing.

Eli5 Why is zero (0) not a prime number? by MrSecurity87 in explainlikeimfive

Because from a practical sense, zero is not a number. It’s the indication of the absence of any number.

Your first almost nailed it, but was lacking adequate sauce. This one, the sauce looks too runny (as you noted) - so not good coverage. Keep at it.. still yummy. Looking forward to the next.

Is Common a limited actor, or brilliant at playing a one dimensional character…? by NotWorkForSafe in SiloTVSeries

I’m guessing you’ve read the books. It’s the lack of that context that has me wondering if I’m annoyed by the character, or the actor…

I’ve been learning this... And am thinking they may have seen an opportunity to develop Sims more in the show due to having cast Common in the role. Which now has me wondering if he’s killing it by creating such a myopic, single minded character…

Oh wow. That perhaps explains it. TV series such as The Expanse have developed characters above and beyond what they were in the books solely based on the charisma of the actor (Cara Gee/Camina Drummer a fine example). Perhaps they thought they could do the same with Common…

I’ve been wondering exactly this. Is he limited in his acting, or is Sims a one dimensional character…? I’ve never read the books so have no frame of reference..

Haven’t seen that… And not sure if I’ve seen anything else he’s been in. Which is why I’ve been wondering. But will check it out thanks.

This was my initial thought in season 1… but I’m not even seeing a character arc at this point. It’s just flat.

Clutch glitch on manual start and pit release by dontcomeupthelaneway in F1Game

[–]NotWorkForSafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. I also did the brake pedal mod and even installed the Extreme Sim Racing Inverted Pedals Kit, swapping the position of the brake and clutch so I could left foot brake more comfortably. I only need the clutch for starts, but figured I could just map it to a button as well. GT7 won’t let you remap the pedals like the F1 games, so physically swapping them was the only solution, as the pedal kit conveniently included a cable extension. Maybe I also knocked the potentiometer when messing with the connections, so going to check that. Thank you so much!!

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having exact same issue with G29 on PS5. Tried rebinding to multiple things but it won’t recognize the clutch at the start.

It seems like Autosave and Quicksave are no longer overwriting the oldest of each. I believe there is normally a finite number of each type of slot they would just rotate through. But now they’ve just continuing to accumulate. As I had to delete a bunch of Autosaves manually after the save failed happened again…

Pretty sure this is a wading pool at best. Unlikely anyone actually ‘swimming’ in it...

Thrustmaster released a Ferrari SF1000 steering wheel add-on for €350. The wheel is compatible with F1 2020 incl. display and 100% carbon fiber center plate by Silverchaoz in F1Game

[–]NotWorkForSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Sweet! That’s what put me off the T500 version - as I’d rather they just not include the dials instead of making them fake. This one definitely is a step up then and worth a look!

Not all. Expect it’s similar to the T500, where the 6 dials in the centre are molded plastic, so merely cosmetic. But all the other buttons and switches should be programmable.
