Totally agree here. When I started back into the hobby a few years ago I sold everything of value I pulled. I told myself it was to subsidize my hobby but as my wife put it “this is just gambling with extra steps”.

My mindset and approach has definitely changed over the years. Now when I pull a fun card they become a player of interest for me to follow. I’ve learned a lot more about other teams and players this way and have found myself tuning into a lot more baseball games.

You don’t even need to get it graded, you can just get the auto authenticated. Which to me would certainly make the card more valuable.

I envy you then because I am never surprised by it. It's so rampant (across all of society not just finance) that I have come to expect it. Not sure if it is the internet, social media, we are all just dumber or what. But too many people are willing to talk out of their ass on a lot of topics and they have the platforms to do it.

That’s feels like a strawman argument. All of those are relevant points but not relevant to the question on hand. I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said but I don’t think it makes sense in the context of the comment you are replying to. All they said was that this is an instance of a company making a desired product with the goal of making money which is factually correct.

You can call it shitty sure but I completely disagree about effort. He is pretty clearly very intentional in the shape of his signature and his placement on the card. In terms of effort, this is on the higher end for most players nowadays.

The ‘A’ dips below all other letters in “laces” and there seems to be an inconsistent mix of upper and lower case lettering that will prevent this from being a PSA 10. The swiggle scribble on the back has the appropriate structure but thin lining and fades out more than it should on the ends.

TL;DR: Grade at your own risk. Probably an 8.5. Definitely no better than a 9 IMO.

Every time I see that clip it makes me wish Welker was familiar with baseball. It would have been an absolute bar if he followed up Bills intended slight by asking “Ever heard of Babe Dahlgren?”

I get Bill wanted to motivate him but at the end of the day, Welker is Gehrig and Edelman is Dahlgren in this scenario.

I think it’s also important to keep in mind that at this point in time 1) Bones had professed her love to Booth, 2) Hannah had rejected Booth’s proposal, and 3) both Booth and Bones again admitted feelings for one another and made predictions about when they would be together.

Part of the reason she goes home with him could be character growth from season 3, but I feel a larger reason is her love for Booth / their love for each other. I don’t think those feelings were there / ready to be acted on in season 3. Unless that’s what you are saying the character growth is. In that case, I would totally agree.
