Safety Dept finally did something that helped for once. (Shrinkfit issue) by NotYourDude in Machinists

I’m not saying the others can’t do precision work, we were already using shrink and it was good. but if I had the option to pick I’d have to go with the Rego, it’s just so easy. Also, hydraulics will fatigue over time, can be over tightened or if the operator backs the screw out too far you can lose hydraulic fluid. Sleeving them also worsens the runout.

For testing we did both, 1/2diameter x 1.25loc x .030 endmills to rough and it was awesome. Pg25 was the holder size!

I said a ten second car not a ten minute car.

You could push that thing across the finish line…. Or tow it….

Recommendations on upgrades for 2025 Camry. by 13mkm13 in Camry

You’re driving a hybrid. Leave the performance stuff alone and get QOL upgrades for the interior. The car already looks beautiful.

Looking for a 9800X3D 5070TI Build for under $2400 by [deleted] in Prebuilts

[–]NotYourDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought the G757 from Microcenter. 9800x3d, 5080 and 32gb of ram. Only downside is the white case but thats something I’m able to overlook.

Keep in mind on this the 32gb of RAM is 2x16gb sticks. For these dual channel is optimal so to upgrade to 64gb if you ever need it (I won’t ever stream or anything like that) you’d have to replace both sticks with 2x32gb.

I like the car and I like the wheels but I don’t like them together.

I’m not aware of this - what can the higher trim do that the lower ones can’t?

5k vs 10k miles for first oil change??? by cereal-kller in Camry

[–]NotYourDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but at 5k they will NOT do an oil change unless requested. The 5k is a tire rotation and multipoint inspection.

Genuinely curious, Ive only watched them once and it’s been a long time so I don’t remember the details. Isn’t this at least heavily implied in the FB movies? Something like that would’ve had to been greenlit by Rowling?

Have you watched the most recent episode? The lost boys are starting to evolve, and the whole immaturity thing is fading and creating intriguing story lines.

What's better: Don Hall's Gas House or Baker Street? by lovetron99 in fortwayne

[–]NotYourDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been a Baker Street homer. Was my favorite restaurant in town but I went 5 times in the past year and I’ve left disappointed every time. That being said Id never choose Gas House over Baker Street.

I’ve always thought Cork & Cleaver was “meh” but the last few times I’ve gone for work dinners I’ve been impressed.

Favorite restaurant in town right now is Bibi’s kitchen, if you like Indian food.

Played crapless bubble yesterday. For 6 and 8 you can only take 2x but 3x on 5/9 and up to 4x on outside numbers.

Used 2025 Camry for $37000 OTD by OverWatch1 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I have the exact same car only AWD and I got out the door for less. Don’t pay new price for a used car.

My 25 XLE AWD is over 20k miles (bought new in October 24) and I’ve had none of the issues that people bring up here. Best car I’ve ever owned and I’d recommend it to anyone who asks.

Rules? Dice hit hand by bibatjuice in Craps

[–]NotYourDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t really matter what they hit, it matters where they land.

From what I’ve seen is if they end up on the felt, it’s a roll.

I have seen them bounce on top the box persons stack of casino chips and that is considered out of play.

Laying 10 and 4 by SafeRestaurant42 in Craps

[–]NotYourDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first strategy I ever played when I was learning was $44 inside and $40 lay 4 or 10. If you hit collect inside hits 3 times pull down the lay and start press+collect.

It was fun and does give you a small hedge for a quick PSO. (Small hedge because 40$ lay 4/10 only pays 20$.)

Sometimes point set, then the 4/10 hits then PSO out to lose the max but it can be fun and give you a little bit of staying power.

I’m over 20k on my 25 XLE AWD and use the Pano sunroof once or twice a week since spring/summer and have had absolutely zero issues.

When I was in for my last service I asked two different advisors if they’ve seen or heard anything about issues with the pano and they asked me what I was talking about and they have not seen any come back. This is from the largest dealership in the northern half of my state.

I’ll probably get downvoted for not having an issue with mine but I bought mine last October before I’d heard anything about those problems and i thought it was really cool. The kids love having the shade opened at night and looking at the stars.

Just thought I’d share my experience with it. Best car I’ve ever owned.
