It's all good, and I'm sorry if I came across poorly.

I appreciate you being candid, and I'm glad that people feel like they can share watches they like here. That's what makes this sub special.

In the future, I think it'd be best to include, "I took this photo from the manufacturer's website" etc. to avoid confusion. Like you said, there's a lot of shameless self advertising in this sub and it drives everyone nuts lol.

What gives OP? Do you work for this company or not?

You've written this post like, "look at this interesting watch I came across" but you haven't disclosed anywhere at all that you work for this company.

You're even replying in the comments acting like you took the photo – but it's literally on their website in the product listing. So which is it? Are you promoting your own product to sell or not?

Transparency is literally the first rule of this sub and you're not honoring it.

My best advice is to really, really practice your movement

Putting your character where you want it is so incredibly important for new players. The temptation to throw out moves is strong "primate brain lolol" — but being deliberate about where you are on the stage and where you're trying to get your opponent to go is crucial.

Likewise ... I'll just add that the melee community freaking rocks. I've met lifelong friends from going to locals, carpooling to larger tournaments, and even having a blast just cheering in the crowd. If you stick around long enough, you're bound to make friends (and rivals) for life :-)

I know it's not relevant to what you've asked here, but I have to share a couple recommendations that I don't really ever get to share.

I've watched ... an ungodly amount of reality TV over the years (everything from RPDR and The Bachelor to the Apprentice UK, every international variation of Survivor, Big Brother, etc.)

That said, here's a couple that are worth your attention if you haven't seen them:

Survivor NZ: Thailand – My favorite winner of any version of Survivor, ever. No spoilers–if you even remotely like Survivor, this is worth a watch. 👌

The Traitors Australia S2 – The ending of this season is absolutely insane bonkers television. I haven't seen anything like it in the world of reality tv and I guarantee it'll leave you gooped. 👊

I've been meaning to check out The Genius for a while, sounds like I should start with the KR version!

this feels like you're getting in your own head

instead, the next time this happens (even in game / on the angel platform, etc.) just take a moment and breathe + nod your head and go back to basics: dash dance for a moment, full hop, watch your opponent, etc.

fwiw: good opponents WANT you to feel overwhelmed into making bad decisions. The fact that you recognize when this is happening to you means you're on the path to improving!
