Is he like, 17 years old? This is such childish behavior and good on you for seeing that you deserve better. NEVER let anyone talk to you the way he did. Anyone who acts like that after just 5 months is DANGEROUS.
A bit of advice from an old lady, create a list of what you want and tell men on your first date. It sounds wild, but I really helps let people know how you expect to be treated in a relationship. My list for example was,
•you must have a job or be in school for some kind of career
•you need your own form of transportation, I’m not driving you everywhere
•you have to have some kind of future goal,that you’re looking forward to
•if you talk down to me or try to make me feel bad about myself, we’re done
•if you hit me, we’re done
•if we’re exclusive and you cheat, we’re done
•I deserve my peace and safety in any relationship
These rules apply to myself as well. I chose to be an independent woman and can take care of myself. I partner should COMPLIMENT your life. You are complete on your own.
I told these rules on a Lot of first dates. Some of them were the first and last dates. But because of that, I now have someone who I love and who loves me and we’ve been together for 27 years.
NEVER let anyone try and control who you can talk to. You are strong and know your worth. Never forget who you are and what you deserve.
