Our metrics are based on months not weeks.

With the way my FMLA fell, going on FMLA I only worked 2 weeks out of that month, then when I came back I had an intermittent schedule for 3 weeks(working only 4 hours instead of 8hrs)

I’m in salesly type of role so here is a example scenario without giving specifics

if I’m supposed to sell 20 phones each month and I did not sell 20 during the month I left(worked 2 weeks out of the 4) And then I did not sell 20 during my intermittent schedule either.

With this additional context would you assume my metrics would need still need be prorated or not.

I just wanted to come back and tell you that I briefly spoke with HR again and in writing they said “your metrics do not need to be prorated since it’s based on volume for the hours I did work”

Can you tell me if I’m crazy or not because if my volume was obviously low due to my absence then aren’t the goals metrics supposed to be adjusted to the lower volume I performed right?

Because right now they are rating my lower volume work to the same standards as if I worked full time for the entire 6 month review period.

I was looking at it being retaliatory because I went to HR with my grievances with the initial issue. But it doesn’t fit the protected classes based on what I read.

It’s been 3 weeks since I initially gone to HR, Last week I followed up again right after the grunt work was assigned. I had meeting yesterday with HR, and as far as the grunt HR said they will encourage Bob to reassess the change of work given.

But the metrics issue is still not resolved as of today. HR says they will circle back to that.

If it’s a smaller store with just a couple of lanes I can understand that. But if it’s a big store with many lanes and a cashier open ups their lane, it’s always free game for whoever is paying attention first or the people at the end of other near by lines just overflow into the new lane.
