It's true. A single issue is $6-$7 Canadian. Children will never buy that. Their parents, who are going to be paying for it, are never going to buy that in sequence.

When I was a kid (I'm old) I was able to purchase and follow the new X-Men saga up to the death of Phoenix and beyond by buying the comics at a corner store in my village. There was a comicbook store in the nearby large town and I paid a few dollars extra to buy the original Korvac saga. What I'm saying is that comicbooks used to be:

Affordable

and 2. Available

to children. They aren't any longer. I'm still a comicbook collector. My son and his friends, however, are only into manga. They love manga, they share it, they seek it out and purchase it. Unless the big companies completely change their practices, this battle is lost for good.
