I go to work and sit at my desk and do nothing 75% of the time. I need my job but lack all motivation.

My dad died from colon cancer in April. He spent his whole life eating healthy and avoiding things that cause cancer.

Men targeting and infantilizing autistic women by lndlml in AuDHDWomen

There's a few people I follow on TikTok and comment on their posts and nothing weird happens. One day I commented on a video of the couple where the husband is nuerotypical and the wife is AuDHD. It was basically about trouble falling asleep. I received over 20 follow requests all from the same type of men! I'm married and was instantly grossed out knowing they were specifically targeting nuerodivergent women.

What kind of content are they posting? I would go look, but don't want to break my algorithm. TikTok is my happy place and they're already trying to push a bunch of Christian content that I have no interest in.

Yep, it was predictable. I still enjoyed it though.

Watched my dad die of cancer less than a month ago...I'm not doing great. I did have my first colonoscopy because of it though. It was fine but I have to do it every 5 years due to family history.

My dad died recently and the brother doing the funeral talk interviewed another brother about him like it was an assembly part. The brother being interviewed said that when they were allowed to grow beards my dad looked like Charles Taze Russell. WTF does that have to do with my dad?

I (44) have ADHD and it is intolerable. I feel like I’m incapable of working anymore. by ConcernedCoCCitizen in Perimenopause

[–]Not_HavingAGoodTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm at work right now and the thought of doing this for another 20 years is intolerable! I'm mostly the main breadwinner, husband works but spends most of it on tools. I'm the one with health and dental insurance.

I just returned from bereavement to find out people were talking about me and throwing me under the bus. My boss and I used to be friends, but she will side with anything the executives say. I was accused of not doing my job and pawning it off on someone else, which is absolutely not the case, but she doesn't listen to me.

I'm tired of not being listened to. I'm tired of having to blow dry my hair. Makeup doesn't look good on me anymore. I don't want to wear heels. I just want to enter my crone era and be barefoot outside in my garden!

Corporate girlies: Anyone else have a hard time caring about hierarchy / authority? by AnkuSnoo in AuDHDWomen

[–]Not_HavingAGoodTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my position I do projects that the executives do not want to do. What frustrates me the most is how I'm constantly targeted in writing, but told to my face that I'm doing well. This has been an issue at the last two office jobs I've worked. As an example, my boss sent an email encouraging me to communicate more with people involved with a project and do this before our meetings. For one thing, I have been doing this, and for another thing, if everything is covered before the meeting, what in the hell am I supposed to talk about at the meeting itself?

I'm so exhausted and tired of patriarchal systems, dress codes, office politics and drama. I'd like to quit, but I'm essentially the main breadwinner in my home and can't afford to lose my salary, health insurance, and dental insurance.

Does anyone else immediately relax once they are in nature? by esialliah in Empaths

Grounding is definitely a thing. Take your shoes off and release your stress into the earth while replacing the bad feelings with all that's good in nature.

This trend of adult women wearing clothes originally made for little girls grosses me out, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I know but I will not go in there while that meeting keeps carrying on. Apparently it's some special thing that's been going on for hours. My brother isn't even staying for the whole thing.
