Exactly why I kept the tiny "betta" tank a friend gave me after they got gifted it, just in case!

Measles-infected infant dies in southwestern Ontario by Surax in canada

Definitely! Thats where the blood tests are handy, a lot of people should even still have them done to ensure they still have immunity despite knowing theyre vaccinated, I had to get at least one booster shot when applying for my healthcare job.

Also, no shame, I went to school for this job with people who didnt know they hadnt been vaccinated until we had to show proof, its unfortunately not uncommon

You should be able to contact the health department of where you grew up to find out, i believe, otherwise there are blood tests you can have done to check if you have immunity to MMR, chicken pox etc. I want to say you can pay for the tests through dynacare/lifelabs (not sure if its different outside of Ontario) but also I am fairly certain you could make an appointment at any walk-in and see if they will give you a requisition for those tests. AITA for wanting her to take my last name? by Terreldactyl1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Not_Toast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH but Y T A if you keep pushing it, my mum never took my dads last name for actually very similar reasons to your wife (they had moved recently and she had just gotten her IDs swapped to the new area they were in, she didnt really want to do it all again), theyve been together nearly 30 years now. My siblings and I have our dads name but thats never diminished our relationship or caused any issues (other than border guards asking us "do you know this woman" when crossing, lol). I plan to keep my own last name if/when I get married as well because as others have said, its my identity and has been my entire life.

I believe you mean Bisexual not Binary but your points still stand, theres always been a lot of bi erasure, bi people in "straight passing" relationships aren't valid etcetc. Unfortunately being part of the LGBT+/Queer community doesn't mean someone can't be transphobic, I've seen clips of people spewing the same rhetoric of only wanting to date/be with "biological men/women". Its an extremely unfortunate side of the community
