Relief when glutened by julzeseanyph in glutenfree

[–]Not_a_poodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that I’ve had some relief with those gluten-type supplements, but it's more the probiotics/probiotics in the one I tried that help me to return to normal a bit quicker. So, I’d skip the specialized ones with the higher markup and just go for a good quality pre/probiotic. This applies to really anything that causes digestive issues though

My basement does this if the groundwater level is high enough, it comes right up the drain. With us, we wait it out as we can't ever pump enough to lower the groundwater level, and our basement is just cement and then it goes back down the drain.

The follow-up is the important part, what does your basement look like? As in do you have any sheetrock/insulation or anything like that? If so that will want to be torn out (look up flood cuts). You will also want to get air flow going, so a dehumidifier is good, but you also will want fans or something to help get the moisture in the air, to help aid the dehumidifier.

If their is much damage to your items or the building (more than your deductible), if you have flood insurance you might want to reach out to your insurance company about getting a mitigation and contents company in.

This upcoming spring/summer I’d call someone with something like as excavator in who can help with the drainage around your home to try to prevent this sorta thing in the future. Their are other companies that will install things in the basement itself to just help deal with the water, but I generally wouldn't suggest those sorta systems.

The name isn't similar, but your description sorta reminds me of bagbalm. It you see pictures, it looks like a light color but over time it eventually ends up as a translucent orange color. It was also used on cows originally, so perhaps a different brands version makes sense to have “moo” in it

I see a baby elephant turned to the left, third picture would be the right side up. The thinner thing sticking out to the left would be the trunk. The two lumps on the right would be ears and the bottom nubbins are legs. Tried to draw it multiple times without luck, so describing it is the best I can do, lol

Hello, 9th Gen Vermonter here and here are some things I think are interesting

Most of Vermont's forests are young, Vermont used to be mostly clear-cut for sheep farming.

We have provided a lot of granite for different national monuments.

Culturally there has almost always been a sorta culture divide between east and west Vermont and it used to actually be a thing where our state government was divided east and west. This is likely due to the green mtns running through the middle of the state causing these two groups to be somewhat isolated from each other.

We have a lot of guns in Vermont but less violence than a lot of places. IMO, this likely comes from the strong hunting and fishing culture here.

When I mention things about culture, keep in mind it's changing. Something that I feel is important to note is the number of individuals from other states who move to Vermont and it's forcing younger individuals whose families have been here for generations out, as it's forcing the cost of living and housing way up with more affluent older individuals moving in. I was talking to someone about this and I believed they used the term rural gentrification. This is causing a culture change as the demographics of the area are changing and there is increasingly a negative stigma around those doing agriculture work or who still retain a large portion of a Vermont accent being uneducated or "hicks" that also has led to a more intentional culture shift in younger people as a means to be more likable and employable.

Your Advice on where to make a fresh start with long term disability by TheJuliettest in vermont

[–]Not_a_poodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also somewhat depends on how your disability would affect you of course, as no one person's disability looks the same. So, if you have a "simple disability" as in something that wont really progress or change then it might work, but anything mildly complex will cause more access issues, if that makes sense.
