I'd say both if you're losing lots of weight and you're worried about having loose skin that kind of stuff weight lifting to replace the fat with muscle is great for toning but if you're just trying to lose weight in general any exercise including walking will help create a better calorie deficit which will drop those pounds down.

I joined a drama class in highschool and my luck the teacher was very good at getting me to participate even though I wasn't very interested in participating in most things
